what if this is for future boss fight arena on shadow boss where something big spawns out the hole and like you need to move all around that triangle?

I appreciate the detailed response even if we dont entirely agree. The main thing I want to add to this part is that when I say its by design that we can easily get to the ruins I mean that while originally this might have been the result of a janky worldgen solution if klei wanted to, they could have changed the mode of entering at any point since DST released (which is quite a long time ago). DS was designed more than 10 years ago and I dont think it represents the current design philosophies of DST at all. Both of these lead me to think that the ruins being available earlier than in the original game was kept around intentionally. "By design" was probably not the best way to phrase that.

As a fact in their last update stream they said something like "move apart from world gen" not the exact words but yeah the intention is kinda clear.
