Does anyone know what's this? image.png.d70e868e100c807e2521c2ce363c322b.png

The overlay on both panels, obtained through /assets/cardboard and referred in both CSS files.

It's been 72 hours when the countdown went down to 56%. That's still roughly 0.6% per hour as approximated after the first change, so the deadline is still expected to be on next Thursday.

I've noticed a few times i was clicking around, i was able to drag only the top panel but not the lower panel, or i could drag only the hourglass and not its background, etc ..
Has anyone else found anything like this? .. the cursor reacting differently to dragging different parts around the page

the elements you can't drag have "draggable" set to false. It is interesting that they're not all same same tho. Possible line if Klei didn't just forget. I can't drag even the ones not tagged false tho so I'm thinking its probably unintended.

you can mess around and add new panels yourself. The site will recognize if you add a new panel under the burning factory and send the request as panel 1,1 too. Doubt you can cheese anything tho.

addPanel(1, 1, "/static/8F729B57E62474358A0A358AAC95A28C77C2CD78CA0CCD25C64EBBC1", 100)     <--- add sun side building as panel when on fire side

ChatGPT prediction for the counter numbers (multiplied by 100 for simplicity): 100, 97, 96, 90, 85, 82, 75, 70, 68, 62, 60, 57, 54, 53, 47, 42, 39, 32, 27, 25, 19, 17, 14, 11, 10, 4, 0

Appears to be wrong, actual numbers are 100, 97, 96, 90, 85, 82, 75, 70, 68, 62, 60, 57, 56...

it's 0.52 now

I wanted to point out that maybe the way of fire blinking has kind of some morse code message or something. No one pointed it out and I still believe we are missing on something. "Once you think you have found it. You haven"t.".  Blinking of fire seems to have a different pattern each time. Sudden(.) and long flashes (--) may indicate something. Any morse code master here?

Maybe I started to go crazy over a hourglass 0_0

The longer I look at it the more I agree that in a way the fire animation is rather peculiar looking, for just being ambience. To my eyes it seems to have 3 states of brightness it switches between. Edit, then again, maybe not, it's kind of too difficult to discern any state. It's just so smooth the way it shifts back and forth

Edit2. Uh then again, judging by code it seems to be a 10s loop and I think it goes through the exact same values every time in those ten seconds?
Edit3. Ah, and here are the exact values. 1, 0.9, 0.7, 0.85, 0.7, 1, 0.7, 0.55, 0.7, 1, 0.8, 0.5, 0.7, 1. Prrrrobably just random animation numbers.

After you said it is a 10s loop. I just recorded it and checked myself. It just seems to be 2 short blinks, 1 bright one and a slow long one in animation wise. Probably means nothing. Tried to reload the page multiple times, changed night/day cycle again and again. Its the same pattern. Thanks for checking the code.

Back to waiting for counter 😔

Well I think this is my irritation with it, all of the preamble about that we need to look closer and to think how it was done before etc. I think it was all to imply that there is more to it, in typical Klei fashion - there isn't they're just referencing that in the past we had to wait for new panels. Just wait, we'll get the rest of the panels - that's the arg.

I'm not surprised, the is absolutely the type of thing 2025 Klei would do.

Over promise, under deliver.
