Main design of a Warly skilltree should revolve around The Home base.

Warly should be the best base b*tch in the game.

He should be the number #1 survivor you want to see when you arrive at bae.

He should make everything feel homier.

He should set dinner for everyone.

He should keep the base tidy.

He should raise the IRL sanity of everyone playing with him.

A welcoming home. Just like maman wanted.

(I'll repeat this point before each beta until his skilltree is here)

But what if I play Warly and I don't want to sit at home doing **** all? What if I want to get some value out of the fact that all of my exclusive cooking stations are portable, and the Warly-exclusive Chef Pouch?

Warly in the single player dont starve was fundamentally a nomadic character with the ability to cook healing food anywhere in shipwrecked and hamlet. Reducing the need to have a base.

The skilltree in DST should honour Warlys roots, one branch focusing on more base oriented skills and one branch focusing on nomadic skills.

No, Warly must have his mother related skill tree!

Here is concept: Remembering his mother, Warly developed fear to forget anything:

lvl1: he remembers food for 5 more days

lvl2: He never forgets food he ate

I disagree that Warly should be stationary since all of his exclusive items have an emphasis on portability.

My idea for how to represent Warly being a homebody and to make Maman proud is a Maternal Tree, focusing on making one of the WORST mechanics in the game usable in a wholesome way: Smallbird Raising.

To me it makes perfect sense that a man who is so family oriented would make a good parent to a smallbird, and really put the nurture over nature. With this branch Warly can raise a baby with so much love that it grows up to love him back just as much, not betraying you and your efforts.

The skills themselves would let you of course tame the adult bird you raised, as well as maybe armoring them up or giving them increased buffs from your spices.

On a gameplay level it would give Warly more of a reason to actually play, as well as a way for solo players to have a companion to share their dishes with. Though I think a limit of how many adult tall birds you could raise would be in order as to not break the game with the sheer amount of permanent followers. I think if you could only have one but be able to really buff it up with skills would be the perfect feeing.

tall birds are one of the strongest mob you can tame as a player and if you load them up with spices.....

Toaster Oven: allows only Warly to cook 6 ingredients at a time (like a campfire) (1 red gem, 2 gears, 2 doodads)

Toaster Oven Plus: allows only warly to cook 12 ingredients at a time (like a campfire) (1 red gem, 2 gears, 2 doodads)

Butcher Knife: hambat damage - allows on the last hit 2x more food drops, spider gives 1 silk and 1 monster meat, OR 2 monster meat (1 rope, 1 cut stone, 3 glass)

Spoiled Pouch: it has 10 slots but it spoils food quicker

Nesting Egg: Warly can craft tall-bird nest (6 eggs, 6 grass, 2 crows, 1 blue gem)

Garlic Timer: set it near jerky rack, farms, berry bush and it'll let you know when it's ready for harvesting (2 garlic, 1 gear, 2 gold)

Speed cooking: Warly can cook in all crockpots 25% faster (stacks with portable crockpot)

Chef Crockpot Plus: can cook 2 meals at a time and has 50% to make a third dish

Poof Shaker: can cloud area like Wormwoods mush caps, depends on the seasoning (1 jar, 1 salt)

Broth maker: Warly can turn high value ingredient into lowest value filler + 1 extra (1 tallbird egg value of 4.0 --> 9 eggy broth value of 0.5) (1 banana value of 1.0 --> 3 fruity broth value of 0.5)

TBF wormwood has a side where its more dps oriented and another side is more basing and farming oriented. the whole point of skill trees is that u have limited point to choose form a bigger skill tree, so u can choose ur play style. give him a fixed play style is YOUR thing but does speak for other player

interestingly, wormwood has only one skill that is related to farming

Probably because he focuses on wild plants. His default perk allows him to forgo farm plots to begin with.
