Hmm... Have you checked Deerclops in DST ?

The sanity aura is identical to the one in DS and the players attacking range (not the deerclops attack range) is also the same, so the same strats would still apply of being very close and/or being a fair distance away would impact the aura. Preparation would be different due to various factors, but the general summary remains the same of staying a small distance away to diminish the sanity cost dramatically and have a campfire to negate the freezing effect.

Well, okay. Although I knew the battle tactics, I had hundreds of dead Deerclops, or something close to that number.

1.It has an attack period of 3, not 4.

2.Its attack range is only 6, not 8, but it has higher sides and also behind its back.

Not a huge difference. It doesnt even matter because you still can tank it with campfire.

3.DST also weakened all the auras of sanity. In DS, you got -400 sanity on the player's attack range and a little further. In the DST, the cyclops has -70 on the player's attack range, and only -400 on the back.

It isnt true, sanity auras are same for clops and other stuff.

1.Always attacked the player without delay and it was possible to deal 1 hit between attacks, now you can attack up to 15 attacks between his rams.

It depends on how you dodge it. You can land 2 hits if you dodge it just right. Still doesnt change the fact its just boring and lazy made copy of rook. I rushed it on mobile on day 6 or 7 and it took me one attempt with mobile controls because it only has one simple and easy to learn attack. Not to mention its loot which is awful, I got blue jems which is absolute nonsense.

1.It's impossible to escape her rage.

Yes but you can kill it with ease.

2.You also can't dodge it without bonus speed.

At point where dfly spawns you already could get cane and magilum. It was day 66 on my mobile playthrough. I even got lazy explorer but its broken on mobile.

3.You can't tank her. I've tried with marble armor and with bat bat. And I can't overpower her damage. You're confusing something

Guy above has already proved you are incorrect.

You kill it way before you get insane anyway.

I've lost a bit of my answer... Several times... I can say that yes, you are right in part.
AG has become more interesting, but easier. And his loot. Lol the chest is a optional stuff for me, but Horn it's the main. The old loot was just as good.

My girlfriend plays a lot of DST, and shipwrecked mod as well, and she simply doesn't engage with skilltrees.

She lives a happy life.

You can simply not engage with the bloat, it's only there for nerds.

Finishing these storylines was always going to take tons of time. If they did a 180 and kinda stopped the pattern they've been on, it would probably feel incredibly abrupt. Kinda like when they teased the portal in the archives- and then nothing.

I do think these complaints are valid though. I have more fun with the early game and hope for more fundamental changes.

I am glad these arcs are finally coming to a close though.

-------------------------------------------------------------

On a separate note, and Ive mentioned this before, I still hope for more substancial changes outside the normal game mode.

Small world hub (think 2 large biome sized) where people can hang out and make new friends. With no stakes which can lead to making full sized worlds. (You can do a lot with this level of "out-of-world" freedom, like allowing players to test skin in-game.)

Monthly developer hand crafted worlds, with challenges that could unlock skins/titles.

Best I could describe these as is a new flavor of engagement. Something different that can open up new levels on interactions between developers and the community.

Завершение этих сюжетных линий всегда требовало много времени. Если бы они развернулись на 180 градусов и прервали свой путь, это, вероятно, выглядело бы невероятно резко. Как будто они дразнили нас порталом в архивах, а потом — ничего.
