To start off I like the changes to the personal floater now, it went from a generic 'prevents some kind of loss from drowning' item, into something much more unique, preventing you from being washed back to land and stay on the Ocean if you wish by being saved by yourself or friends.

My issue is why does it not have durability? It made sense before when it was a one time use that consumed the item, but it just feels like they added the new changes and forgot to give it durability, like??? Just give it 10 uses and it loses one every time it saves you, make it repairable with the sewing kit as well for like half the durability, why not.

Another issue is, Max hp loss when drowning. Again, was the issue not people missing boats on accident and drowning causing unfair HP loss, which was already fixed with the changes made, I liked that drowning was akin to dying without actually being it, it made sense. Was my suggestion to add Hp loss back to deep/medium Ocean not considered? Or yet why not code it so hp loss/ max hp loss is determined by how far you drown and return to land, with a cap to max HP loss? that way drowning close to land is even less punishing in case of accidents.

With how cheap the item is needing a repair kit would just cause more hassle than it's worth. At about 50% durability I'd sooner just make a new one then wait to repair it.

This just feels like a change for the sake of it rather than improving or interesting gameplay.

I'm okay with it having infinite uses, or have very high durability/very slow drain when we're swimming with it, as long as they revert the drowning changes, and make drowning and actuall threat again. Right now drowning is at most a slight annoyance, and with the floater it's just way too safe. I'm not a "uncompromising" guy, but I do like some more threats. The floater already deals with the acidental drowning issues, so drowning can go back to being scary again

Drowning was never a threat. It was annoying. With the floater, it will never be relevant again, regardless of penalty.
