Don't Starve Together Update 3.16 - 06/18/2025 (PlayStation)

Wagstaff, the Cryptic Founder, has always pushed the boundaries of this unnatural world. It’s no surprise when the world pushes back — culminating in a cataclysmic conclusion to the lunar arc.

The Hostile Takeover update is live on PlayStation now! The Xbox version is currently going through the certification process; we'll be sure to let everyone know once the update is live for the platform.

Highlights Include:

• New boss and conclusion to the Lunar questline
• Wandering Trader
• Ocean drowning QoL
• Structure Alignment options
• New controller scheme options

CHANGES

• Added "Hostile Takeover" content.
• Added new default controller layouts.
• Added Walter's rope recipe to the character specific recipe filter tab.
• Added world generation setting to control if JIMBO is created.

FIXES

• Fixed a crash related to Abigail following an invalid player.
• Fixed Wes reading out the Crabby Hermit's notes.
• Fixed a server-side miscalculation affecting Wendy and Webber's JIMBO Joker scores.

As always, we'll also be bringing new skins, new streaming drops, a special Klei Fest login reward, and more!

We've got a bunch of cool new skins for you this update and as always, these skins are added to the drop pool and can be weaved using spool. We're also finally bringing the much requested Resurrected Crapback to the shop and adding the Resurrected Meepsack as well! I was going to bed... It's almost 3 am now, but I guess not anymore :D. 

Super hype to try the new controller settings, thanks for that by the way... I'm pretty sure it's huge QoL for controller users, and I can not wait to try them on and see what works best for my gaming style. Lovely skins as always.

Edit: my dudes, zoom in. It's so cool to finally do on console! The artwork POPS! If Klei is bringing classic mods to the base game now I'd love to see First Person View added as a setting or even accessible through a headslot item would be cool. I just can't get enough of this up close and personal viewpoint. It's so intimate...
