No? You can get infused moon shards with The End Is Nigh and craft pure brilliance as Wilson.

you just listed 2 characters I don't play. I prefer not having to switch between other people or having to play multiplayer to get more pure brilliance.

I think it would be nice if the lunar rift both spawned ryftstals faster and spawned more at once (at least in multiplayer, ATM its quite realistic to walk there and see the ryftstals got mined which is very unfortunate if you walked most of the map to get to it), alongside amping the amount of pure brillance the bosses drop from 1-2 to a much more manageable 6-8. I Wouldn’t be opposed to other sources, but improving these would be a good start.

Perhaps they will add new moon mobs that create a pure Brilliance, or it will fall off them.

Here's a mob with the approximate mechanics of getting the pure Brilliance I'm thinking of:

Pangolden
Alternatively, we can receive it from the lunar city, which is still being finalized.

Can someone explain what's the problem with brightshade husk? I think if it would only drop from bosses, it would be an issue, but rifts actually produce quite a lot and cost almost no effort to collect. Is it some "many players server" issue?

there is no problem with husks. you plant 40 dragonfruit seeds close to dfly's magma and they automatically die in there and you go there to collect around 100-150 husks every 50 days or so. The problem is that pure brilliance is giving me 8 to 20 per cycle, and I think the entire cycle is like 15 days or 20. But there are time you're in the middle of something and forgets to collect and now all your friends can't repair their equip until the next cycle shows up unless you have a wicker and a wilson. But solo sucks as well.

And the devs told us they would change the inbalance on the wigfrid star skin post. But they forgot I think.

Well how you collect shadow stuff then? It seem to not be automated either, you have to go down and kill things.

Btw maybe I was doing something wrong but when I planted dragonfruit near lava ponds, and brightshade appeared there, it wasn't automatically dying.

Was it spring, by chance? Spring has a mechanic where fire sources shrink in their damage radius (yes, this is a real thing), and the radius goes back to normal in every other season.

spring or you planted them too far away. They also take a while to die

Yeah but you get enough by constantly farming a cycle and killing inkblights. Imo it's even easier to get cause you can forcespawn them near a fissure.

That and there's now multiple ways to get pure horror, most of which can give you a lot just by itself.

For pure brilliance there's just one real method, still. Two if you have end is nigh plus don't mind character swapping (unless you have a dedicated Wilson lol).

Poor Wilson, turned into a swap character. Wilson must suffer the curse so that Winona and Warly can escape it.

Wow, you just denied the most viable way to farm pure brilliance with the reason called "I don’t want to".

Klei please increase krampus sack drop rate to 100% cause I don’t want to farm.

Klei please make lunar connect to mainland cause I don’t want to sail.

Crazy, right?

Switching characters is a game mechanic, just like flingo can extinguish fire, oar can move your boat.
If you don’t want to use that game mechanic, it’s ok, just go mine then, but not crying about to get easier way on forum, just because you denied it.

I have a topic for your next post.
“Wolfgang is still weaker than Wilson”

Why?
Because I don’t want to use dumbbell and gym, make him 2x damage without mighty

They were there for several ingame years, so most likely this:

+ it was lights our world (I don't know if nights affect heat radius) and I wasn't spending a lot of time in the desert, just killing DF from time to time.

I don’t think this is a bad take by them, though. They aren’t asking for a source to be more viable than the Wicker/Wilson strat, they are simply asking for improvements to existing sources so people don’t feel they need to resort to the mass refine brilliance strat to get a decent amount of it.

Keep in mind that apart from the mass transmute strat, the only real source is the rift, which is ~20 at most after ~12 days, and that’s from a fully opened rift that probably won’t last much longer after all 12 riftstals spawn. The bosses drop very small amounts, and there’s no other source for brilliance. I don’t see an issue improving these sources for people that don’t want to resort to transmuting while keeping the transmute strat unchanged for people that do use it.

your entire argument is stupid because it basically encourages turning wilson into a swap character which is what Klei is trying to avoid.

You can also focus your late game, as any character, on collecting green gems—fighting Fuelweaver whenever possible, then clearing the ruins; doing Dragonfly every time it’s up; farming gem trees, sunken chests, etc.—and keep duplicating Pure Brilliance with a green amulet and a deconstruction staff. I mean, all the ruins gear doesn’t have much use beyond that at that point in the game.

At least in my experience with other players, we’ve never really run into a Pure Brilliance scarcity problem thanks to duping.

feels like a lot of effort for something thats kinda cheesy imo

people have been duping a lot of things for years now and that's pretty much the main jist of the green staff and amulet

thulecite, scales, dreadstone

everything pricey.

using green gems for that is not cheesey, it's just made for that

while I do agree more sources of pure brilliance would be nicer, the use of green gems to make more of it is by far not cheesey

Nothing wrong with quick swapping to do a task with Wicker to Wilson. This was intended mechanic to use their abilities for such tasks.

They already added a way to farm pure brilliance by killing gestalts. This post is dead.
