General trolling, but then people start dropping from the server, presumably by his doing. I was in caves and watched on the tab list as he switched to cave server, and then my game crashed. Looking at the logs I noticed he whispered this: [Whisper] () : {0.000,8888..} mob 15D1EE59A9DD90A6 Not sure what it means, but it seems like there is some new way for people to force players' games to be shut down. Can this be fixed? Thanks. Walrusst Posted April 2, 2025 Share Posted April 2, 2025 Its a known crash with the mod environment pinger, where invalid pings with the unpatched version crash the mod and the games UI. There are two patched versions which both claim to fix the issue but I'm waiting to see which one gets the community consensus on being the right one. One trend I see with this guy is he likes to join with woodie and use the beever thump to level the base while everyones crashed, and he prefers to act right before the world saves so rollbacks can't undo the damage he does.......... Also have seen exotic behaviors like going into spring servers and belling beefalo to bring the in heat beefalo to base and accusing everyone of being griefers when they defend themselves. Both Environment Pinger [Fixed] and EP Tweak fix the issue. The former is from me and is just a plain patch over the original mod (only crash fixes, nothing else), while the latter is from Remi and is a full fork with various differences. Notably, I constantly use the Waypoint feature (press V+right click to mark a point for only yourself and hold V to display it) which EP Tweak has unfortunately removed, so I use the plain mod. But EP Tweak has a lot of cool features, so I recommend you check it out and see for yourself.
