Whether dark souls is "more complex" than don't starve as a game (with weapon variety and mechanics like damage absorptions taken into account) is apples to oranges and not really my point, rather fuelweaver is more intricately designed than any dark souls boss, pretty much all dark souls bosses never get any more complex than "the boss initiates an attack, it can sometimes follow it up, you dodge the attacks", fuelweaver may not have as many moves but no dark souls boss off the top of my head has cooldowns that you have to manage, none of them go invincible (seath i guess but that's at the start of the fight and it's just a 5 second gimmick) and their positioning in relation to the arena is largely irrelevant (except in those horribly designed areas like margit's where you want to keep the boss at the center to avoid falling off the edge or something, but this is a problem with the arena and not the boss being complex)

I've done no hit runs of both games so this isn't me favoring one over the other, I just think dark souls boss design is incredibly overrated and simultaneously DST boss design isn't given enough credit, I enjoy DST's bosses way more design wise (like literally in that video I'm just jump L1 spamming all the bosses to death lmao)

P.S. stop bringing the opinons of the "people with the same viewpoints as you" as some sort of gotcha to assign me opinions I never said in a sad attempt to expose a supposed "contradiction" in my reasoning, the people who disagree with you are not some sort of hivemind that collectively agree on everything that you don't agree with, calling me a hypocrite because someone else said a different thing than me isn't a good faith argument

Then you are incredibly new to this forum to not know their type.
