Thieverpedia
I'm not even sure if it's a set of bugs or features, but ever since DST's beta, these two mobs have been broken in the wrong way. Moose/Goose has strange tethering to its spawning point, causing it to easily lose aggro and require force attacking while it hops back to its short-ranged circle. Moslings might not even aggro onto the player that killed the Moose/Goose, instead opting to go back to the nest and spawn another Moose/Goose. Moslings spawning unique rain that cancels frog rain for a bit, before causing it to return. Like, I don't mean to sound like I'm complaining, but...these have been present since the beta days of DST. We've seen many, MANY bug fixes and balancing changes since then. So why haven't these two mobs been touched at all since then? I'm not even sure if this belongs in a bug report or not at this point. Well-met
The second problem isn't actually a problem. Sometimes there's just two moose/goose parents assigned to one nest. You can tell the second is "wild" because it will chase targets indefinitely. Sometimes there's just two moose/goose parents assigned to one nest. That seems like the epitome example for a bug. Though I have never encountered Moslings that don't enrage after their parent is killed. Issues I have had with Moose/Goose is that sometimes M/G runs more than two screens from a nest to honk randomly near my base. Maybe that's the same "wild" extra M/G that's somehow not properly tight to her nest.
