some disapointmends with wortox skill tree

Recommended Posts

shadow reaper still calls wortox a mortal, fix: give it unique lines for wortox, after all he SPECIALIZES into it

sometimes soul pierce is bad simple because now everything goes after you, spider-merm wars in swamp? better get that wortox because 1 soul slightly touched them, hiding by beefalos for hound attack? well guess what? the beefs are now all after you, fix: dont make creatures get aggro from soul pierce

using pan flute with soul gain + pierce? well now they are all awake now because 1 of them took damage, fix: sleeping enemies wont take the damage

decoy gets worse with douple soul echo, fix: make it just a normal cooldown 5 second or something instead being tied to having an echo active or not

soul heart still gives hp penality despite the wortox makin it having the skill to not have penality if someone else besides that wortox giving the heart to a ghost, fix: the soul hearts allready are named after who made them so simple as that, if the maker has the skill for no penality no matter who uses it, the one that gets revived wont get any health penality

the soul decoy sould have some soul colours transparency over the decoy instead of just being just wortox

knapsack.....it just looses durability soo fast and as a weapon its still not good feeling at all

i think thats it? got anything else to say about what you think feels disapointing in wortox skill tree please do mention it

Knabsack in general looks very... odd when held. Try holding it and using /carol for a very dumb looking bug.

Also it should have been a whip-type weapon (slower with longer range like Wanda's clock, Cat'o three tails and Kelp stalks).

I get why Klei didn't make it a storage item though, as it's designed to break and be recrafted, which would mean you'd drop everything that was in the sack mid fight when it breaks.

maybe it sould have never been made as a weapon in design

It could have just had a small inventory tied to the player. Like Maxwell's hat, but smaller.

Wortox needs to eat and can die so if someone is calling him a mortal I'd say it's a lot more likely that they're right than it being a mistake.

Wortox refers to regular food as "mortal food". Presumably it means he's supernatural and can't grow old. In other words, he's as immortal as the reaper or maul would consider themselves to be.

Maybe he's just roleplaying and the reaper & maul don't like him

Exactly!! He's like Wigfrid's brother.

On second thought, maybe they're both vampires. They both regain health from killing stuff.

Actually, Wanda might be the only one who's not by that metric. (Warly knows what he did.)

You don't have to keep saying this. The Wortrox tree is not good

Its good. I praise it so developers will be motivated to keep creat good skilltree like this in the future.

I woke up the Dragonfly with Pleasant Pastorale more often than I would like to admit x'D

Yes, the Wortox skill tree totally sucks (as for me, I'm not speaking for everyone)I'm exhausted by the fact that I have to kill bees (butterflies) for 6 years in a row (I wonder how many billions of bees I've exhausted, horror) in order to feel useful in boss battles that don't summon creatures. Actually, I figured out Klein, they make terrible and uninteresting skill trees (such as those of Wolfgang and Wortox) in order to rethink these unsuccessful decisions in 5-6 years. I probably expected too much, so I burned out.I probably won't be playing for Wortox in the near future (a couple of years huh).I've been beating bees for 6 years and I don't have the strength to keep beating them.

there is a lot of things to like in his skill tree but also a lot that i dislike, i hate the affinities, because you build an entire branch about making his own unique weapon, and then the affinity say, don't use this weapon, then the knapsack is also underwhelming in itself, i get it, they didn't want to make it too strong because its cheap... but it doesn't have to be this way, make it better, and in turn make it a little more expensive... i think the naughty and nice inclinations are underwhelming, the idea is great, but unfortunately the actual perk for each side changes barely anything of value. i do think that he has a lot of good skills but unfortunately, his highs are high and his lows are low and that's the problem, not that the overall skill tree is bad, but that the bad parts of the skill tree makes the entire thing sour in my opinion.

Thr napsack skill point could unlock another weapon, maybe something from greek mythology so fits his theme, but made of rift materials so you dont really experience it until is intended. The weapon could interact with the shadow affinity and the damage buffs given by souls from the other branch

That way that skill point gives an early weapon-tool that becomes a tool in lategame but gives access to a lategame weapon and opening the choice of using the scythe or the new weapon

Or make it so the scythe gets a bonus from the souls, is a soul reaper weapon after all

Why did you think the skill tree would eliminate the need to kill small creatures? The naughty skills make building up souls much more efficient, if that's still not enough why have you been playing wortox?

Both of them are extremely durable, but have limited ways of restoring sanity with food. Both have their unique weapons and head slot item locked behind end-game content. Both have tricks to completely ignore damage with good timing, or just tank it with few ill effects. Both have rather ridiculous AoE with their weapon of choice.

Wortox is like a more aggressive Wigfrid who's using glitches and warping all over the place to speedrun the game.
