Mosquito from Swamp Pond should have a method to deal with?

Recommended Posts

sometimes it's really annoying once you settled your home in a cave but you found the Swamp Pond is around your nearest stairs. We now have a method to deal with the frog from normal pond by teleporting them to the moon island, but could we have some QoL changes in future for helping non-Wurt players to deal with the Mosquito from Ponds? Please...

*I knew you could similarly teleport those mosquitos to moon islands and they would be "freezing" by loading mechanic since you are away from them. But they are flying mobs, once you step closer to the island they would simple fly back and makes the sailing around moon island in future being more annoying.

You could leave Chester right by the pond. The mosquitos will attack Chester first. They don't do enough damage to Chester to kill him, so they just attack him over and over again until they explode, and you get a bunch of free mosquito sacks.

ehh, I mean, you know, the sacks is annoying as well.....

lureplant is a thing. If you plan to colonize swamp, might as well fill it with turf and leave room for eye spawn near pond.
Both mosquitos and lureplants don't work in winter so you have perfect solution.

Actually that gave me the idea of using houndius shootius!

I usually put some near a cave entrance, if I have one near my base to distract the bats.

Tbh the houndius shootius has extremely low efficiency for dealing with the bats and the mosquitos...

Yes I did heard this method and I did tried it. But sometimes mosquito would just fly across the eye ball if I have bad lucky.

But this seems is still the best method I guess.

I've seen the idea of "garlic drives away bats" elsewhere. This is interesting.

Use wall with one single spot opening to redirect mosquitor pathing.

they have a chance go across the eye ball and attack my pig friend,

and when I go up from cave, the chance would being more higher (almost all mosquitos just ignored the eye ball once I up from cave)

At least it looks cool. Good luck with your mosquito problem.
