I wish the Vex potion worked better against rift enemies, the way Vex potion currently works It is really really strong pre-rift but once I'm fighting rift enemies it feels like my damage suffers a really big drop-off, it feels really bad, I would prefer if the Vex potion dealt a bit less damage to pre-rift enemies but worked without such a big damage drop-off when fighting against planar enemies. I would prefer it working well against both planar and non planar enemies than it being super effective against non planar enemies and then suffering a really big drop off in damage against rift enemies. It even uses an item I associate with rift content in its recipe - Pure Horror , I don't understand why it is super strong before rifts and considerably weaker against rift content.

If I had to speculate as the reason, is because Abigail has a general use multiplier, and Klei has made an effort to make planar damage a flat number, and affected by no multipliers other than the alignment ones. Though it is weird they decided to make the shadow post-rift elixir specially good against non-planar entities.

The Lunar elixir gives GAbigail 100 planar damage per hit, vs the 25 planar damage of SAbigail, maybe that's the intended way going forward.

In fact, Klei just found the perfect way to do this in Walter's Pure Brilliance Rounds -- this Rounds applies a debuff to the mob, Give this mob an extra +5 planar damage each time it takes a planar damage attack. Its flat number and also a damage debuff

I think the planar vex is a brilliant idea, but I also think the planar vex can do more than simply balance. Lunar Abigail needs it too. Check out my post:

Yeah, that is a way to apply the vex, but for planar damage, very similar to how default Abigail works, without adding extra multipliers. I woudln't mind it if this were implemented, but it might be a bit too overpowered for multiplayer, a "free" planar AoE debuff, and you would need to consider if it stacks or not with Walter. Also, it is definitely making it so that SAbigail does 25+5 damage planar, and make people question if this is a bug or not, and people flooding the forums for the next week angry about it.

But yeah, it could be a nice implementation that would only work mostly post-rift with planar weapons, I would support this change.

Willow with the multihit lunar flames is definitely having a good time with abigail/water in the team
