Random revives during runs?

I'm not sure if this belongs in bug reports, but I'm wondering if someone knows what's going on here, or if a dev can look at it and say it IS a bug (which I can then go make a post there, or this can be moved there, or something). I've had this happen myself where I'll randomly revive and I'm not sure why, and here you can see it happen to my friend twice in the same run. I thought it might've been the power that set his hp to 1 that revived him, but I don't think it does that. And even if it did, that doesn't explain the second revive. I just don't know if there's some hidden mechanic I'm not aware of that's triggering these revives. This was on super frenzy 5 so I don't think it's some sort of pity mechanic either.

This is luck!

You have a tiny chance of reviving whenever you die. If you have luck gems that increase the stat, you have a higher chance of reviving!

Back in the early playtests, my brother stacked his weapon with luck gems and revived 6 times in a row. It's quite a fun build to play.

Interesting! Good to know, thank you. I've been wondering what exactly luck did, so I guess that answers that. I assume it also increases power quality drops. I've mentioned in the newest beta test that they should explain what luck does somewhere.

Yep, and whenever you see a green effect by falling Teffra, or resources, that's luck adding some extra drops. There's a small clover in these green flairs.

I agree, and I think more explanations for various stats like luck, stun, etc are coming- I might be misremembering, but I think Jambell said something about it on stream. Don't quote me on that tho ;-;

So she does. Fair enough, I remember this now, but it was so vague and irrelevant at the time that I didn't pay attention to it apparently. I think we've only just got ways to increase our luck with gems and now some beta stuff. I'd like more tooltips and descriptions and numbers and stats. What's our base luck, and what percent chance does it have to do anything? Like surely the chance to revive wouldn't be the same as the chance to boost your drops. Hopefully that info will come sooner or later.

1% base luck - All effects use the same chance.

@Chaos- you are definitely correct that having more in-game explanation of Luck is needed! There is the Toot explanation but we are missing the moment-to-moment gameplay explanations like for other mechanics.

It is on the list for sure, as well as making it more apparent when Luck triggers something. We are pretty spotty on our coverage for Luck right now.
