Moleworm Boss

A new boss in the caves. Deerclops level since there are no deerclops level bosses in the caves.

 

It digs and is dangerous. Hammers deal bonus damage to it.

Gunpowder is a funny way to trick it. It can cause earthquakes by burrowing which causes gunpowder to fall from the sky.

When digging it can split itself into multiples. It has a shadow riff varient that is the hardest boss in the franchise.

 

The evil mega boss moleworm has a chance to spawn from earthquakes.

Reading the title I did think this was some sort of anti-moleworm post, but... seeing that rendition of a theoretical mole boss, I kinda love the idea... 

question is, would this have 2 variants based on fighting it on the surface or the caves or is it better for it to have its fight altered via rifts? 

The werepig was a unique take on a boss changing in some natural way being the player releasing him, but this kinda proved to be obnoxious. 

Had it been the case that you battle him in one place, beat him, then chase him to the surface to finish him off, it probably would have been better. Hopefully something like this could be done in the future where the boss is weakened, flee's and becomes stronger with better rewards due to it gaining in power.

The caves lack normal bosses. Its only surface bosses i care none at all about.
