Yifei_
Putting a Spore into the Enlightened Crown to change its color may cause a significant decrease in brightness. Whenever I want to customize the color of my Enlightened Crown, I always give up because of this issue. With Spore: difficult to clearly see the beehive in the right. Without Spore: the beehive is easily visible. Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/163032-problem-with-the-enlightened-crown/ Share on other sites
Steorra
This is just an option for those who think enlightened crown is too OP i guess, which the logic is like "If you think it is OP, feel free to nerf it light radius by do it yourself!" Swiyss
I wished it was a bit brighter too, I find myself giving up on putting spores too when I realise how dimmer it gets. Maxil20
I personally use this mod if I want to use spores in the crown, especially partially full combos. The crown gets way too dim otherwise with most spore combinations, and especially blue ones. It’s unfortunate since I adore the idea of changing the crowns color to your ideal preference for how commonly you will use it once you get it, but due to how lighting works in vanilla it is almost always a detriment to use a color combo of your preference. Cassielu
I remember Zarklord explaining it somewhere, like: they didn't intentional to make its radius smaller, it was the result of the base "colored" lighting mechanics of this program. Bumber64
Each RBG value contributes a certain amount of light. One could probably adjust the brightness to result in a consistent radius regardless of color, using the given math.
