The caves are realllly broken right now

everywhere is littered with bunnies, rock lobster, void masques. Why do I need rock lobsters in the ruins?

I mean sure they kill all the ruins creatures but I really didn't want that in the first place. I also have to be careful of mining statues because they will eat the thulecite and gem.

The rock lobsters multiply everywhere in the caves and the bunnies and spiders don't help either. Someone might argue the difficulty is higher but I don't see it that way. I just find it incredibly annoying.

It's been this way for months now, we really need a fix. At least for the void masque lobsters multiplying everywhere

The benefit players can get in depths of duplicity besides the new items is being able to use mimicreeps to get construction amulet and booster shot uses? I never used them for booster shots but heard about it, still even this positive thing stops happening after a while probably because of masks or other items in caves? I ran a command to check mimicreep count and there was 77 spawned, do they ever despawn? So there is some kind of a limit. The issue is that over time the number of spawns just decreases.

There's a lot of rock lobsters around my main base which is in the caves that weren't there when I started the most recent playthrough, so I am supposed to waste my time killing them? Also having to pick up all the masks to burn in furnace is quite painful, they should disappear after a while.

When I was checking some scrapbook updates because I like to read them even though I mostly know all the details, a great depths worm spawned and tried to eat me so server crashed for some reason? Why do we not hear sound with scrapbook open?

So glad I am not the only one thinking this is broken.  We had so many masque mobs in the caves it was causing lag.  Took us a season to get rid of them all.   Now they are back.  Spiders, bunnymen and rocklobsters with masques at every cave exit.    I finally just turned off the rifts in the caves.   It is so broken.  NMF, taters and masque everywhere in the caves.  This is so broken.   Cave basing is no longer any fun.  Plz plz fix the spawn rate of these things.   

 

 

 

Not sure if it's because of masked creatures, or just because there're too many living creatures, but my game crashed several times in caves. and sometimes you even need to roll back to stop it from craching by leaving caves in time.

I haven't thought masked mobs spawn bug critical at first, but in long-term worlds (and I think almost everyone who activated rifts by defeating Fuelweaver has long-term worlds) caves become so overcrowded... And you can deal with every masked mob in your world, but still they'll produce more and more spawns... :wilson_facepalm:
