A hidden feature of Wendy skill tree makes me tear dropped

While the insight page of Wendy is opened, if you waiting for a while, it have a chance the Planchette of Ouija would start to move, and Wendy just asked "That you , Abby?". Laterly the Planchette would stop at the "Yes" position.

This...

I had to see this for myself, and Oh my gob. This is just phenomenal.

The fact that Klei put this into the skill tree just makes it all that much more special, and in a way makes me enjoy playing the character so much more!

Kinda makes me feel bad for neglecting Abby, I use 0 Abigail skills.....

Not that I've seen but it would be nice if we had more interactions like this for example when Woodie chose his were mastery if it took on properties of the mastered form or something.

Thank you for sharing, I really like it—I love any design that showcases the relationship between these two sisters.

But at the same time, please forgive me for saying something out of place: I think the current design in this aspect can still be improved, especially during the game

I mean, for example, when I hire a pigman, he becomes my friend. We fight together, and when I'm trapped in phlegm, he saves me; when I'm chopping wood, he chops with me. He expresses his liking for me in simple words; at dusk, he runs around anxiously; at night, I watch him sleep by the campfire.

I really hope there can be such heartwarming scenes between the two sisters, but unfortunately, so far Abigail is still just a killing machine.

I hope Abigail can behave more like Wendy's sister. I've made such suggestions before, but I'm not sure if they've been seen.

One of my ideas is to turn it into Abigail's Altar. When Wendy digs graves or helps Pipspooks, there's a chance to obtain some "Old Memories Items."

Old Joke Book: Abigail always deliberately uses these dry jokes to make Wendy laugh. After being offered to the altar, players near Abigail will dry off quickly.

Dry Soap: It no longer smells of anything. After being offered to the altar, it increases the spawn rate of butterflies near Abigail.

The design of these Old Memories Items doesn't greatly enhance Wendy's abilities.

Their greater significance is to let players feel the traces of Abigail's former life.

When Abigail is idle, she no longer stays blankly but does what she can, just like Wendy.

This makes Abigail more like a family member than a follower or a Pokemon.

I know that Klei may be preparing a narrative explanation for Wendy's resurrection ability, which means the function of the Perennial Altar may not be changed anymore.

But I really hope my suggestions can be considered.

It's interesting to see, you guys think that Abigail is really Abigail? I always thought she was 'something' half created from the fuel, half from memories from Wendy.

Like how Bernie existed for Willow, but when entering the constant he became 'something' else.

Fuel probably bound Abigail’s spirit to her flower. Reviving a spirit bound to an item is impossible, some character said so.

Abigail was dead, but as we know there are ghosts and spirits in the DST world, so she was able to be summoned.

 

edit: if she wasn’t Abi and was half-fuel, she wouldn’t be able to become a Gestalt

Tbh, I was guessed that Wendy won't have lunar affinity or her lunar affinity would simply cancelled Abi before this beta, since the quote of enlightened crown said that Wendy would be harder to see Abi when enlightened power affect her.

This. I think the gestalt abigail form would be akin to the survivors being more powerful. I imagine that Abi was predominantly an entity that existed due to a combination of the constants ability to corrupt/change/influence and Wendys feelings and memories of her sister - matched with her overall aim of bringing her back (Might even be a Maxwell deal type of thing - since how Wendy actually came to the constant hasn't been defined). 

Overtime as the constant and altar have influenced things and also been challenged and overcome by the survivors - Abi can now be a gestalt as this makes sense to Wendy, like Wendy's influence is equal or greater to the overall power of the constant, I think this also fits the motif of the survivors triumphing over adversity but being changed by it anyways. I  get the feeling the survivors are becoming little monsters themselves.

It was Wickerbottom when she tries to revive Abby.

Me too, kinda. Also due to her connection to Maxwell, and the parallel between her and Abby, and Winona and Charlie.

Making Abby go from ghost to gestalt probably fixed the harder to see Abby when enlightened thing, in lore.

Always felt bad wearing the crown due to that, lol. And personally, I was pretty annoyed when the shadow alignments were just... bad, at the start of the beta-

We see Abby in Wendy's short, as a ghost. So it's probably not constant magic.

Bernie also scared the terrorbeak in Willow's short.

That, plus the fact that insanity can alter the drops of mobs, seems like emotions and thoughts are pretty powerful, inside and outside the constant.

Loading screen mentions that Wendy and Abby's bond transcends death. So that's probably what kept her a ghost in the real world. Then she was sucked into the constant with Wendy, and something about the flower made her more physical ig.

This newly added content is really heartwarming, and I'm glad the designers haven't forgotten this element about ghosts

I love the amount of Flair Wendy's tree has been given.

The designs of the Wraith's Wreath, Perrenial Altar and Picnic Casket are immaculate.

Blessed Sisturn 3 Being recontextualised as part of Wendy's ongoing attempts to revive Abigail.

This Easter Egg, making use of the Ouja board theming.

Shadow Sisterhood referencing Abby's original summoning mechanic.

All the different decorated graves getting custom sprites.

Vengeful Ghost as a whole.

I really hope when they go in to fine tune the balancing none of this gets cut. It's what elevates her tree above and beyond all the others imo.
