Explain please. How is shadow Abby not just normal Abby?

it need you to learn the shadow affinity line, and need you to murder something from inventory to "transform" or to active the shadow form.

it is obviously not regular form of Abi.

Also the shadow abi have her individual appearance.

The shadow affinity just adds something you can do to buff Abby. The shadow thing is basically like spectral cure-all, a brief buff. While cure-all buffs her regeneration, murdering buffs her damage.

She also doesn't have her own appearance, she only looks different during the buff, them goes back to looking like normal. Unlike gestalt Abby, who stays gestalt.

don't think so.

the more detailed appearance update is coming due to the update log. and the shadow buff is obviously a shadow form for abi.

Yes, just like you stated, it's a buff for Abby. But not a different type of Abby like gestalt Abby is.

Eh it doesn't seem that problematic to me. If you're willing to grind out the Mourning Glory to sustain that death loop, in addition to the sacrificial loop, that doesn't seem that dissimilar from other characters who similarly can just choose to grind out some resource in large quantities to trivialize a boss fight, and tbh I'm not sure that this is any better than some of those.

The reason you would choose Lunar Abigail over Shadow is still the same, and she just got a damage buff too. You pick her because she's the lower maintenance option; she'll take less damage due to her movement patterns, requires less heal potions, likely never dies so you don't need many Ghastly Experience elixirs if any, and doesn't require you to be sacrificing things out of your inventory to get her benefit. Honestly, it's pretty enticing, particularly if you want to spend your points in other places than improving elixir/Mourning Glory production or you generally want to spend your Mourning Glory on potions for allies/self instead.

The Player tag and the potion are a way to remove her downsides, which is sort of what the skill trees have done so far. For better or worse.

If you care about balance, the best, most fair solution and more on theme I think would be to keep the tag into the regular Abigail only, and make it so neither Lunar and Shadow has the perk, similar to how wolfgang has a speed buff only on normal mode. And it would symbolize Abigail becoming "less human" as she gets closer to her shadow/lunar self. Though Lunar cannot swap form back and forth easily like shadow, so you would need to do more adjustments.

I recommend strengthening the moon over weakening the shadow. Because even with player tags, the Format Tower Abigail is still very weak, with lower single output than AOE output. In terms of survival ability, even if Moon has player tags, its stupid AI will drag her survival ability below that of regular Abigail. The player tags only bring her survival ability to the same level as Shadow Abigail, that's all.

I haven't been the best at accepting critism in the past and I do apologize to you pig princess. Especially you.

I'm not good at nerfing things so this was the best I could come up with. Gestalt abi has the downside of losing the aoe. Personally I don't think this is a nerf exactly more like isolating something really strong to a corner of the skill tree without it running rampant throughout it.

I do think ghastly experience needs a nerf. Make it so it doesn't carry over the health %

I'm still skeptical people would use that elixir in the way you describe, but I have no objections to the proposed change.
