PunkShark Posted December 11, 2024 Share Posted December 11, 2024 I created a post somewhere on a random thread but i think it'd be best to have my thoughts in a place where it doesn't get covered by a lot of comments. First off these are changes that are not related to the discourse about Lunar abigail or about balance regarding Wendy. These are simply changes i would like to see and suggestions along the way. talking about the former would just be beating the already dead horse. Let's start with the big one. The UI of Wendy's skill tree is awesome, i love the whole idea of it looking like a ouija board. but at the moment it is a very messy design, perks feel randomly placed and overall it's very packed and crowded. So, i did my own design to see how i would change it. Although excuse the poorly edited in changes and strokes (no ghosts were harmed in the making of this UI) First i thought the abi command skills were very sidelined towards the UI and felt very ignored, so i put them in the centerpiece under the newly created visual theme of Abi's flower, her sprouting up from the flower itself. a little bit of a flair while also giving the perks some centerstage attention. as an extra suggestion, have the command skills not be as much of a choice by the first perk unlock and let you pick 3 of the ones you want, start with the one in the bottom middle (or top?) you could start off with the haunt command and build the rest from there. Alignments took up too much space so i pulled em apart and placed them on the sides. it felt perfect to place lunar alignment next to the moon (alongside mourning gloriy branch also having a sense of resurrection which is nicely fitting with this side. while i placed the vengeful ghost on the shadow side. While that one doesn't make as much sense, i do think this is a massive improvement to the placement of the perks and more so symmetrical. (even though the sun part is a little odd with it being shadow related, could change it to an eye instead?) I didn't wanted to change the original intent and design of the grave/pipspook branch along with the urn and elixirs so i tried to keep them as normal as possible. the rest are honestly just suggestions i would like to see and or changes. cancelling sisturn rest. Basically atm you can have her rest at the sisturn and still do commands, but if you let's say: let her charge towards your location, she'll just slowly return back to her sisturn and won't be much of a help (also it's just kind of awkward seing her slowly going back to the sisturn). not even unsummoning her will cancel it out so you'll have to manually go to the sisturn to get her off of it. So basically just cancel out the sisturn rest if you do any sort of command or unsummoning her. Or if she rests you cannot disturb her with commands and she'll stay at the sisturn. Now this is basically what everyone else have been saying but i'll put my hat into the ring as well. butterfly cost is atm way too expensive with mourning glories. 1-2 mourning glories at best and that'll be swell. Personally. Swap the placement of the first 2 grave perks. i think it's a bit thematically odd to have the ability to addorn graves first and then dig up graves after. Cause idk who's gonna addorn random graves if they aren't near you in the first place.
