i don't think don't starve / together are fit for the modern youtube landscape

it's built for slower paced let's play videos when people generally want faster paced high energy ones 

obviously its possible to make dst content that fits the modern youtube playbook but no one is really doing that

literally only youtuber i used to watch for the gameplay (except slasher) was jackeyosaurus and he got into drama

damn the dst youtuber had a lot of drama didnt they? i spent my 800 hours of dst gaming believing and TRYING the jackeyosaurus method of finding the ruins and in the end he had stolen it from the rick guy, y'know, the edgy one, and the method was always a hoax, so yeah, im not watching jackeyosaurus so there is nothing left

i dont know man those edited videos with commentary from start to end that have a comprehensive thread and cool highlights get me jammin, im gonna say my opinion, the stuff that glues all this stuff is a youtuber with the right personality, but maybe dst or the community isnt good at atracting this specific personality, who knows?

or maybe the times have changed and this world is a wastelaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand

biddobams is, as far as i know, the sort who keeps his nose clean. i never heard a bad thing about him in the whole time i watched his stuff

Wickerbottom run was fun and in his old style, I watched it eagerly, but it's not the same as I remember his videos. Maybe I changed as well...

Tournament VODs don't interest me as much, I mostly miss his "special rules" runs and "7 7IPS" videos. The only similar to those are DVGMedia's mechanics materials, but they usually cover a single topic instead of giving random tips. And they also come rarely.

And Twitch... Well... I'm a YouTube enjoyer, I like shorter parts to watch while eating or something. I only go to Twitch when I feel really lonely... Mostly because Twitch promotes calmer playstyle and connection with audience, while YouTube is more gameplay progression oriented in my opinion.

these all run on the pvp element. PvP is near infinite replayability.

dont starve is learned and fully completed within a few months from the moment you're brand new at it.

The gameplay loop never changes so it's only logical that people move on faster than those titles.

I agree with that even tho gameplay progression oriented is my style in Twitch so u can find both in both plataforms depending on where u look at
Like day 91 all bosses  runs with some characters or just a fuelweaver/celestial champion before Deerclops rush in specific Wicker/Maxwell or whatever is having a reework/skill tree in the moment to apply that in a run

I will be doing a Walter run vs fuelweaver nuzlocke tomorrow for example, u welcome to check

glad you like it, may i ask why you found the map funny that you laughted? and yea, you dont see the skeleton with 100% spear, wood armor, and helmet that often, especialy that early, am i realy that good at fightin pigs then most you seen?

true, true, though isnt that just the case with setpieces? the pig n' merm setpiece has been out for half of forever and i only saw it for the first time yesterday X''D

you get hit slightly less often when fighting them, i think it is because you actually move back just a bit earlier than i generally see people do. it looks kind of funny but it does seem to work better!
