I think we are tired of the posts about how Wendy's skill tree is bad, so why don't we talk about what we love about it?

Tell us what you're happy about Wendy's skill tree so they know what kind of skill tree we want:

Well, I'll start by saying:
1. Gestalt Abi's combat format is fun (stats and strength are not discussed)
Converting AOE to single damage gives Abigail more flexibility and makes it easier for her to survive in battle (my sister has already taken enough injuries and it's fun to watch her float)

2. Sisterhood improves Abiy's maneuverability, skills such as dashing and stealth,
allowing Abi to better assist in combat while staying away from the battlefield when dangerous.
3. The Grave skill is a blessing for the builder, and it is easier to farm potions
There are many players in the game who don't like to fight, and just like to build their base more beautifully. Tombstones can sometimes hinder base building, while movable tombstones can be used for some Halloween-themed decorations (there will be a Tombstone skin for Christmas, Kelei?). )。
Sometimes the Tombstone will be far away from the base, making it inconvenient to farm potions. With this skill, mass production is possible.
4. The picnic basket is handy
and can save the grid as the name suggests, although it is also standard for skill trees
Other advantages...... To be added

The single one thing I’m looking most forward to is the Haunt command prompt. And I’m excited that the devs will be tweaking that so Abigail has higher chances of having something happen compared to normal dead player ghosts.

I don’t think you realize how much this can and will affect, or for that matter what hidden little surprises Klei may add to it during the beta or perhaps even in Future updated beyond that.

As just an example: if Abigail has a higher chance to haunt grass does this mean she can perhaps force grass geckos to mutate from it? Hmm..

The only thing from Wendy skilltree I definitely love is those commands by learning team spirit line.

Pipspook line is meh. It brings a true QoL and it is just an average QoL skills which others have as well.

Others are not good for me. Gravestone replanting is a bit unsuitable for Wendy as she is more like a Medium but not a character like Necromancer, Wednesdays or Shaman.

And still much space for improvements for other lines.

For now it seems that Abi has the same chance as players to haunt successfully, i do hope they can adjust it too, because through command abi to haunt is more inconvenient that yourself died and haunt……

Oh no, did i just mentioned another bad thing? I didnt meant it.Say good things.:wilson_blush:

Haunting has so many potentials.

The picnic basket is handy and also cute.

It feels so good that Abigail can quickly dash to Wendy's side when Abigail is out of screen.

Cound you explain it more? Because as i know, what abi can does through haunting could also be done by the players.

You can effortlessly turn mushrooms near base into green or blue mushrooms.

You can turn pigs into werepigs and kill them for more loots.

You can turn hounds into ice or fire ones to get gems early, as an alternative to digging graves.

If the chance is higher, you can use star callers and deconstruction staffs without costing sanity, I think it could be useful in early ruin rushes.

It seems that you can't haunt a telelocator staff to teleport a player according to wiki, that's a bummer.

You can rile up Abigail (to make her a bit away from you), tell her to haunt a telelocator, and quickly pick up a suspicious marble, and it could teleport you along with the marble. Further testing may be needed. Check my later comments.

Edit 2: Haunting picked mushrooms will no longer spoil your mushrooms and the stack bug has been fixed at some point, which means you can turn green caps into blue caps and vice versa. Still, 10% chance is a bit low if you have only a few, but picking 80 blue caps in the blue mushroom forest and turning 40 into green ones sounds great.

Theres quite a lot to love. Its no wolfgang where his whole tree is numbers.

Alignment perks are different and unique.

Team spirit is a good way of moving Wendy away from the rat race she got into with willow.

The first two tiers of the potion branch are much appreciated qol.

The stated future chamges to buffing mg and headstones are the right areas to focus.

Vengeful ghost is funny.

Really my only problem with her tree now is most of the final tier perks are weak.

The shadow alignment perk made Wendy more Wolfgang than Wolfgang

From my testing Abigail teleported herself 5 out of 5 times and all I got was hit from the lightning but maybe I'm just unlucky...

Edit:
Ah, you gotta stand on top of the staff to get teleported, my bad!

Spoiler

I get what you mean. But wolfgangs issue is his perks were unconditonal, making them boring. Wendys shadow alignment has similar effects, but is contextualised in an interesting manner imo.

I think I actually can do it consistently, maybe the staff will just teleport the closest entity?

Edit:

I think it's safe to say the staff will always teleport the nearest entity.  There's a GetClosestInstWithTag in simutil.lua, which is a thin wrapper over TheSim:FindEntities. I believe it relies on TheSim:FindEntities returns its results sorted from closest to farthest. The tele staff chooses a target using FindEntity, which is also a thin wrapper over TheSim:FindEntities.

(Thanks god I thought they would do some randomization.)

Because she was the first character I played when I was invited to join the game by my friends, she was also the most attractive character for me to enter the character selection interface

Dude, that's the reason why you like Wendy, guessing the skill tree has nothing to attract you now(:wilson_hurt:

Sorry I mean no offense, but I believe the word "attractive" is not suitable here.

(I might be wrong, I'm not a native English speaker either.)

Although she is my favorite character, in fact, in many cases, her fun and difficulty is really high, in the case of multiplayer online, because there is no up and down cave pause and other functions, most of the time to play her only as a planting base aid, and other effects, if there is a chance to make her more play, I will not give up such an opportunity

I mean, because she was the first character I ever played, the original partner, and actually, this pixel-style game, no one had a sick thought. I've always treated Wendy like a sister or a daughter.

I dont understand. You mean Wendy is harder to play in multiplayer game? Why?
