Remove animation cancel for gloomerang

IMO current dps on Walter is "fine", horror + cursed rounds may be hard to master but it does good damage. He can clearly use some more boost on the tapes for faster attack speed. But apart from that, other characters can do almost as much damage as him at range by just swapping 2 gloomerangs, which feels extremely unfair. Even to moon side too, since you cant anim cancel howlitzer.

And I get that slingshot has way, WAY much more utility than this mfking boomerang now, and that animation cancel isn't a thing most players do other than some efficience tryhard. But with how cheap it is, and how easy it is to anim cancel since you are at range, this pos item gets a damage that outdps Walter's slingshot, which has to be a joke.

I think a good way to fix this would be to make it so the player gets a forced delay between each attack when he carries a gloomerang and only on the gloomerang, and said delay would be the current attack speed. This way the attack speed will stay locked on that number, and even if u were to swap to another, it would be a thing coded on the player, so no more of the infinite gloomerang you get out of swapping 2 of those ******* things.

No, the current gloomerang is fine, the issue itself is the animation cancel and that you can get infinite attacks with it, something that wasnt intended by Klei,, thats why it enters on a cd after throwing all the projectiles and that's why it went from 6 attacks to the actual max of 4 attacks

I like it the way it is. It's balanced pretty well by the reduced damage as the mob approaches, so it really only ever consistently gets max damage against, like, Brightshades, sometimes Crystal Deerclops.

If they did decide to nerf it, I'll live. It's still good for pulling aggro and killing weak fleeing mobs.

I never said that they should nerf gloomerang itself, im saying Klei should fix it being able to animation cancel, which is quite an abusive mechanic. Gloomerang is clearly intended to just have 4 charges, but with animation cancel you can have virtually infinite attacks. Klei already nerfed the item because it used to have 6 charges, faster speed and more damage.. The item itself is fine, common attacking with it doesnt do a dps not even close to Walter, but it being able to animation cancel is something clearly wrong

I never know animation cancel can do this. I thought it's but a tool for the experts to increase their damage while I knows only to press F and count how many time I swang.
