HeatAndRun
In this beta Wortox and Wendy got the portable containers for their souls and potions. Drastically increasing their ability and inventory management experience. But poor Walter didn't get his own ammo bag. It would greatly enhancing his QoL if he had one. Wigfrid and Wendy can do their job quite well even without the battle songs and ghastly elixers. Think of all those Wigfrid and Wendy in public servers not using songs or elixers. However to Walter, his combat capability is worse than most of the other characters without his slingshot, so playing as Walter means you'll surely craft and hold loads of slingshot rounds in your inventory. 120 max stacks for rounds are definitely welcomed, but it won't help using different kinds of rounds at the same time. If only he had a bag for ammo, it could much easier to try diverse strategies with different rounds. The bag will also work well with the pinetree pioneer hat because not using backpacks will become more tolerable with the bag. Still I don't say Walter MUST have his ammo bag, but it feels kinda unfair when everyone get their portable containers while Walter doesn't have one. I feel so sorry for Walter when he can be a really enjoyable character with a little more gadgets and tuning in numbers. Radicaljoe
I think I remember on stream then saying they upped the ammo cap to 120 specifically to avoid the ammobag. They said it would be too clunky, so they just made base Walter better at holding ammunition. abrocator
Soul containers, bookshelf, potion container, song canister, and now projectile container? This is very sameish and uninspired. Master_NiX
There is an upgrade that gives you infinite capacity for said ammo. It's not like you're gonna use 4-5 types of ammo at the same time, and even if you do, two slingshots for different situations would've done the trick imo. I'd do 1 main slingshot with strong infinite capacity ammo. And second slingshot with Thulecite frame for utility, so I can fire two additional ammo types when I need slowdowns or freeze. Catuna_
you can hold 240 bullets with the bone/thulecite frame and in the case of marble/moonglass/thulecite ammo that's at least 12240 damage i dont think an ammo bag is needed at this point Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/161723-walter-is-sad-without-his-ammo-bag/#findComment-1767352 Share on other sites

The current stack size is fine unless you think we also need a bag to hold our normal weapons too. True, players want Walter to be more utility-centric, the Devs seem to also want the same things since they gave him so much magic round (pre-beta) and make his DPS miserable. Yet in the beta build that buffs utility round (Thule frame), they can't give us an ammo bag so we can use a variety of ammo. I did listen to their reasoning of inventory management, but not everyone struggles with it, and not everyone plays console. It's better to give the players the option, than to deny it outright, imo (I get that they did buff the ammo stack to compensate, but it feels like it should've been that way from the start--). This is very sameish and uninspired. I agree that it may seem uninspired if all characters have it, but Walter is definitely one of the characters that needs a container the most, he now has 17 ammo total, Wendy and Wigfrid barely reach 10 of their special things and its not like they are carrying all at once, Wigfrid at best uses like 2 main songs and the rest is situational, same for Wendy that basically needs heal + nightshade pretty much, yet they have containers. A good Walter on early-mid game on the other hand most likely will be carrying gold rounds, gunpowder and moonglass ammo, freeze round, purple rounds, cursed + horror rounds for bosses, and maybe even dreadstone rounds depending on what the end result is. And damn, some ammo in multiple stacks even, its not like 120 is a lot. That would be like 5 slots easily and its not even considering honey, shockscraps, poop rounds, and all the other ammo. Edit: And I know that for some ammo you can just carry the material, like gold, marble, and even cursed and moonglass, same with like husk rounds, but an ammo container where you can just have all the ammos ready would have been soooo good Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/161723-walter-is-sad-without-his-ammo-bag/#findComment-1767440 Share on other sites
