Please redo Wendy's skill, it's so different from Willow

He/She has not noticed that the pain point of Wendy is Abigail being too vulnerable in a boss attack.

He/She has never gone into the deepest of Wendy's heart of how she loves and misses her sister. Wouldn't have designed flower shroud with this in mind.

Except that's exactly what the Lunar Gesalt, Shadow Potion, Sisturn Overheal,  Escape Command and Flower Shroud are trying to do.

Also, the flavor text of Dark Petals II says that Abigail taught the shroud to Wendy. Abigail actively wants to protect Wendy, and while you can Argue Wendy wouldn't want Abigail to be hurt, it's not a healthy relationship for  Wendy to refuse any help from abigail.

well no abby would totally throw herself in front to protect wendy its perfectly in character for Abigail

The main problem right now is that the Update doesn't really address abigails late game weakness. Abigail needs to have entity planar resist vs Player planar resist. So she can match up at least with some of the more damaging late game entities because as of now she can be 3 shot or instantly destroyed by most of them.
The shroud does help with it but the main thing wendys always had to face was positioning.

I don't think the shroud is a good design. It turns Wendy into a big eater. First of all, it doesn't fit the character. There is no logic in eating health-recovery food to restore health to Abigail.

First of all, I received no instructions from anyone. Wendy's skill tree design is really bad.

That notorious dev who clearly doesn't know what Wendy TRULLY needs. Everyone knows what she needs! It doesn't even need explaining - it's so obvious!

Because having downsides is forbidden...

That is your business as a player..which is easier with the ammount of tools given in the skill tree but i guess, once again, the suggestion is to remove all kind of effort

Sorry to say this, but the solution is to get good. Use healing potions. Pull abigail away. If its not an aoe boss, try take some hits yourself.

If they power creeped abigail to remove that aspect from Wendy, she would be so boring if Abigail was effortless to keep alive.

 

 

温蒂的大部分技能看起来都毫无作用,好像是开发者在鼓励玩家多经历死亡?对于角色来说,这或许更能体现出温蒂的个性,但是从玩家的角度来说,这几乎没有任何收益,对改善游戏体验也没有任何帮助,甚至可以说是损多于益。作为一款游戏而非文艺作品,应该更注重玩家在游戏中的体验,而非角色形象的表现力。所以,就目前来看,温蒂的技能设计毫无疑问是失败的。

Every character was given an option to deal with planar entities in some form  in their skill trees.  And yet wendy doesn't really have that in this skilltree

I know your going to hate hearing this, but.. there currently just isn’t enough planar entity mobs in the game for this to even matter.

Just because there isn't right now doesn't mean klei doesn't have plans for this in the future.

Maybe, but I also feel like it would be justified that a character who was so supremely dominate in the early game falls off a bit and struggles in the late game while characters who struggled early in get stronger later.

You can blame that perhaps upon my years of experience with RogueLites, RPGs, and 11 years worth of SMITE.

I have not played Smite ever since my little brother went to prison, but the philosophy is still very much intact: Characters who dominate in the Early game should fall short in the Late, and Vice-Versa.

But… with that said I highly doubt Klei will add a whole heap ton of Planar entity mobs to DST… and the reason why is because it falls so extremely late into the game, that roughly only maybe 10% and being extremely generous with that number will ever reach the point of the game to experience this content.
