Anyone having same issue on Geo placement mod? I feel like this should be pointed out very loudly for once.

So, like, at the boarder there where Maxwell is standing I can't seem to place dock piling or any structure for whatever reason. I think this is a problem I've had since singleplayer and one side of the map boarder is thicker than the other or something. But when placing without geo placement it seems that the hitbox moves just a sliiight enough away from that edge to not have that problem.

This also occurs with when you have turfs around and you want to plant trees or something but one side isn't as equal to the other in geo placement.

I don't know what this actually is and why this happens but if ever the game adapts geo placement into gameplay it should probably fix this issue too.

To be fair a portion are probably alts as well as people who aren't playing anymore but regardless this post should have been made on the mod itself, to the makers as stated above, or https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/forum/79-dont-starve-together-mods-and-tools/

Don't really see anything wrong with it being posted here. But if you did want a change it would be better to contact the developer of the mod.

It's more of a nitpick for if Klei were to do this they would avoid this same mistake. I am unsure if mod creator still is active but will try regardless.

But I still want to take to assume that this isn't the mod's fault and actual game's cause there's some weird one pixel difference from one part of a turf compared to another.

I looked in the code, and I believe the game determines where you can place stuff is in the engine, which you can't legally access. Geo Placement by default has 0 offset and will try placing at exact coordinates which the game does not like in this case. I doubt they will fix niche issues like this anytime soon but I've been wrong before.

With the screenshot in the bug report as reference, because the tile "owns" the upper left and right edges that means it is happening with the ones beside it as well.

The solution for symmetry would be to offset the grid at the cost of no longer placing things at the center of the tile or add more to the interface to give those options, like odd numbered spacing.

Currently Geometric Placement has a "Snap Grid" option that can get you that offset but it would have to be combined with another mod like Geometric Drop to get such precision.
