It's just a reference to the fact that arubaro complained that shadow maul having the exact same healing as bat bat already has was going to make the game "casual" like any number of unrelated games he doesn't like.

And having a main weapon with the dame healing of a support weapon is comparable to asking for renewablility and being able to decor with natural turfs as the cost of something make of salt (which is more expensive than crafting few wooden floring to cover a peasant base)

Maybe you struggle to craft man made turf and getting rocks but others players are beyond such basic tasks and dont want barren empty worlds

The same level of logic as buffing the maul...as expected

A blank color tile. It'll just be neon and perfectly smooth.

Yes I want this so I can make memes easier what did you think.

It's also stupidly easy to grief with. You can goose to the island as Woodie, go moose to kill a bunch of monkeys easily for trinkets, row back on a stolen boat, and just munch monster meat while standing next to someone to force them to return to monke without knowing where the island is or having an easy way to get there. I've had this done to me in Klei servers a couple times.

That is absolutely hilarious I am so both sorry and not that this happened. That's a very creative way to grief. I'll absolutely totally be doing this to my friends and have no regret. What else did you encounter in Klei servers?

Something to plant pine cones and birchnuts in a more confortable way. Is soIsnso annoyinglto pthem when you need wood from +200 trees.

This gave me an idea for a structure that you can load with seeds and it flings them out in a radius similar to how the ice flingomatic works. Like if you had hoed dirt nearby and you popped some carrot seeds inside it would fling the seeds into the hoed dirt for you.

If you put tree seeds inside it would just plant them within its whole radius.

Imagine this:

A lureplant spawns in your base and eats all your tools you couldn't be bothered to store in a chest. "Oh, no!", you'll say. "I should've built rocky turfs to protect my base, or not been a scrub that leaves my stuff everywhere! Now I'll have to acquire new tools!"

Suddenly, a greater depths bearger spawns! "Where base!?" it roars, rampaging through the caves and surface, destroying all the slurtle mounds, stalagmites, and Glommer statues. Red hounds valiantly attempt to defend the spiky vegetation, but the GDB spits the shattered remains of fossils at them. Their inevitable deaths cause the swamp to catch fire. The GDB lies down for a nap and despawns. "My world will never be whole again!" you cry. "If only there were a feature to undo this *intentional game design* without rolling back all of the megabasing I was preoccupied with! Maybe I should've stuck to Fortnite instead!"

.......what?

Well, let's see...

There's the classic base burners, but they're boring, uncreative, and typically can be beaten with a rollback unless they do it right before dawn. There was one time that I, as a Wickerbottom, used Pyrokinetics Explained and a watering can to stop a big base burn grief before votekicking the guy who did it. The guy held a grudge and consistently joined any Klei server I played in and he always tried to grief, often changing his username (I knew it was him because steam IDs stay the same) for well over two months after that. Other players who recognized him mentioned seeing similar behavior from him.

Then there's the Wickerbottom griefers who wait until everyone's in base at night/until someone's using the fridge and spam On Tentacles to kill people. may have made a Cawnival-based tentacle player trap at one point as a funny prank one time.

I've seen people build a bunch of knight/rook/bishop statues and break them in base on a new moon so everyone gets swamped by the Shadow Pieces.

There's a bug that at least used to let you spam-summon the Twins, and someone wrecked an entire server with that.

I once had a Webber feed a mandrake to a mob, then shoo box his spiders so they'd all swarm and kill me. He was annoyed because I was following him. I've also seen Webbers do this in base.

Oh, then there's the moleworm trick, where you drop, in order, a trap, at least four pieces of gunpowder (to break their football helmet and kill them through it), and a live moleworm as close as you can to a player. The trap triggers on the moleworm and makes it eat the gunpowder, detonating it instantly. You can escape alive, but you have to be careful which direction you move in so that you don't push the moleworm along with you and die to it instead of your target.
I've actually had to use that a couple times against item-hoarding griefers, such as one pair of late joiners in a post-Fuelweaver server I'd been playing on who rushed the Ink Blights. The pair hoarded all of their loot, killed all three of them so they couldn't be farmed by other players despite being asked not to kill all three, and then sat in base to show off their void armor and remind people that they can't have any. The other time I ended up using that was when someone took the pan flute and ate all the mandrakes when a group was planning to kill Dragonfly and refused to give the pan flute to anyone else. It's better than kicking item hoarders since it forces them to drop their items.
A bit of backstory for that: what made me realize that was possible was getting molewormed by the random gunpowder boon (I tried to grab it right when a moleworm ate it and died).

Turf created by players (including those created with Terra Firma Tamper) to be

  • Any turf will speed up the player by 30%. I don't want the base to be monochrome for functionality reasons.
  • Some way to prevent nature from spawning due to regeneration such as trees, like sprinkling salt. When creating an elaborate garden, it's trouble when trees that don't fit the design just grow on their own.

I completely agree that he is a nonsense jerk, but please don't be like him too.

Here's an idea: Astro-Turfs. They look exactly the same as biome turfs and you craft them with the same recipe plus one lune tree blossom, and they do what you're saying here (they don't have regrowth). It's also a pun because moon.

megabasers decorate the ground by putting things like pebbles, walter ammo, or decorative flowers on it, the ground which could be a natural turf for the sake of beauty, no one else actually struggles with lure plants, even when you drop a ton of items in your base, 95% of the time you get back to your base before the eye plants even start spawning, you're mistaking an unsolvable (without making your builds uglier) problem with one that any player with more than 5 hours in this game can easily deal with

That is my point

so you're saying we *should* get a specific item that makes it impossible for lure plants to spawn in natural turf? then we agree :3

Yes, so we can decor with natural turfs without needing to diseable them. I think salt is a good candidate since is how salt is used and is more expensive than simply chopping down 2 trees to make a bunch of wooden floor

while we're talking about that, I think that same salt also disabling winter snow tiles would be rather nice, as they make turfing in Winter a bit of a pain, not much of a needed feature, and might possibly remove some immersion, but it'll probably be worth it

just make it so worm source melts snow, make sense and is much cooler

Are trying to turn the game into Genshin Impact? smh

no

Oh yea. Statue prints need rework. Those are awfully annoying and take up more space than they are worth. I remember when adverts existed from killing birds of varied kinds. Those were nice to grind for paper at least, but statue prints need a book to store into or something. If anything that takes the cake it's that to every megabase builder or builder in general. It's decor, it shouldn't be a nightmare to both sort and deal with. Let us learn them like blueprints and the rest we could recycle into paper.

We can all have different opinions and different feelings.
Respect one another, keep it civil and follow the Community guidelines.

Thank you for your counsel. I will be thorough from now on.

However, when it comes to what specific people are going through, all I can say is, "I merely did to them what they did to me". That time you did not come and we had to endure.
From next time onwards, PLEASE take action like this time when specific people behaves towards us in a way that violates the "Respect one another, keep it civil and follow the Community guidelines".

I feel for some people sometimes that things get kinda frustrated. We exist in a forum after all, tensions can rise. I sometimes had moments of being a brat. But yea keeping things civil is better than not.

Some things will feel balance while other things not, the game isn't always about that and it's about a vibe or making a new kind where we would feel progress to things we do. Can agree or disagree on many things, we just know this game is kinda about everything in genre wise and also not like a soup of things that fit sorta neatly into a fun experience regardless.

Do Not Retort. Report.

If you find yourself wanting to give what you get- its time to step back from the computer.
The reporting system exists for a reason. If you start 'doing what they did to me' then you are soon in trouble too. The best thing to do is report it and walk away.

The moderator team are volunteers for the most part along side some Klei people too. It can take us some time to pick up on things, especially if it is not reported. We do our best to keep the forums a friendly, welcoming and nice place to be. There is no excuse for insulting other users, period. Report it and leave it with us.

You never know what the other users are going through or where they are coming from. It easy to get out of hand when all you have is written word and a username. Every user represents a person. Who deserves to be treated with kindness, respect and understanding.

Be kind to each other.

OK, I'm sorry for to throw a tantrum because I assumed that admins are being unfair. I trust report will work in the future.

The ocean is still too empty.:wilson_lightbulb:

I decided to add one more thing:

In dst, there is now quite a lot of redundant, or overcapacity, stuff that can easily be produced and then left on the ground because there is no way to consume it, leading to a crowding out of computer resources. Although we can sometimes limit their output by some means, this only delays the process of exacerbating the problem. What is really effective is to provide safe and stable ways to put these surplus resources to additional use.
At the same time, this is also in line with the setting of the game: as a person to survive in a different world, you should try to use all the resources available to you.
