Can wild Gloomthorn and Sproutrock be added when the world is generated?

Let 3~4 Sproutrock plants generate at the feet of Dragonfly. Players can mine and transplant them after defeating Dragonfly as a reward for their first victory against Dragonfly. This explains why Dragonfly has various gems, and Sproutrock happens to be a plant that thrives in hot and dry conditions. Gloomthorn can be scattered randomly in underground swamps, which are damp, cold, and have weak light,precisely the environment Gloomthorn enjoys. It also provides a reason to explore underground swamps, which currently lack unique value compared to overworld swamps. Therefore, adding Gloomthorn can serve as an exploration reward.

But they're supposed to be ocean content. Putting them elsewhere means taking away what little we got of that.

would be nice if there were some other islands at sea to visit, plenty of rocks and empty space that could benefit from some strange and unique land masses. Little islands with some of the trees in dormant states could be fun. (unlikely to happen though)

That would really just undermine the idea of going out to the sea getting treasures.

I agree but make gloomthorn only have around 3 in the world and be untransplantable.

 

The gem tree shouldnt be added unless they add a lava cave biome, which could have a shortcut under dragonfly.

I think two sprout rocks right under the dragonfly that are also impossible to transplant would be perfect. Mostly as a world building tool. It’s not like they would provide much value in of themselves thus they would not negate the need to find seeds at sea

I think it would be cool if instead there was a cave guarded by dragonfly that has a few hidden in them.

No they shouldn't? the entire point is that one: they are ancient trees that no longer grow on the surface and two: it's ocean content
