Putting animals in Icker Preserve Kits?

Recommended Posts

i really like the icker preserve kits as a concept putting random fish or rare foods in it is a really neat little side objective for later daycount world but i wish we could put stuff like spiders or rabbits inside of them (also totally not because i want to preserve the last spider in my world outside of a bundling wrap)

I think if you did this and then made them stack like bees if they're the same type of mob, icker preserve kits would finally have a use case where bundling wrap isn't just the better option.

i don't think utility was the main point of the icker preserve kit, more so showing off items, like say an item frame in other videogames
highly doubt klei would add a post rift bundlewrap with one slot and expect people to use it for its utility

That's fair. Just what you said, then: make it able to display critters so we can have a macabre preserved animal collection.

I had my doubts too but ive gotten a lot of use out of these as Wormwood.

Wormwood frequently uses a lot of food items that cant go into bearger bin. Like carrots, dragonfruit and lightbulbs for pets. And raw/cooked moonshrooms.

i use these things too frequently so bundling gets annoying but not frequently enough to the point where they can just stay in the salt/ice box and get used up before they spoil.

The icker kit is the perfect solution in this case.

i also have one filled with Nightberries and i take a few out of it whenever i go down in the caves.

It could definitely stand to have its inventory increased though. Just more capacity for 1 item would be really useful.

Im imagining putting one near my kitchen and storing a bunch of quick spoiling stone fruits in it for on demand fillers. Or the hundreds of frog legs taking up chest space lol.

higher capacity would also make it more useful for storing specific crop seeds.

Thanks to your message I got a funny but creepy idea.
Let's say if we put any animal in this canned jelly, then after a while we will see only the skeleton of the animal)

Probably it has no logic. But it would be interesting to make a museum of skeletons)

That would be awesome. Is so annoying to capture bugs and gleams twice because they are set free when opening bundles. Is the reason i dont decorate more often with colour light via spores

I'm not sure if this is already a feature or not, but storing moongleams could also be a useful thing
