One update to make Icker container AMAZING!

Recommended Posts

Many people are complaining that the new Icker container (to put food) is worse than Bundle Wrap, and they all have a point.

However, ONE SIMPLE CHANGE could make it amazing and worth it, and I need the help of anyone that sees this to either like or comment (DON’T LET THIS SUGGESTION GO TO THE VOID)

it’s simple: Make it regen the spoilage of the food! It would differentiate it from the Bundle and people WOULD WANT TO MAKE IT

whay do you guys think?

please let it reach the developers

The thing that really makes this container undesirable is how little it holds. We need an expensive version that holds an infinite stack of food. Personally I don’t care for the regen idea.

That would be interesting. Choosing between chest with different ingredients/dish or this item for just 1 huge stack

I think the icker container could be portable such as 1-Slot portable perma-fridge.

That's just a different sort of bearger bin.

Does the structure display the stored item? I think that'd be somewhat useful.

Incorrect, I think bundle warps are inferior.

I personally don't use wraps that much for the hassle of having to bundle and rebundle every few days to get a portion a food l. I hate the space they use in your inventory and I very much prefer to pick random gems from earth quakes or a missing trinket for my collection, this item is the closest we'll get to having eternal food for display on crockpots.

This item it's so convenient for everyday cooking and bundle warps are for batch cooking. This item is similar to the beaeger bin for the convenience rather than being inferior to bundles.

Maybe the function of regeneration's too op for its cheap cost now..

Costing 1 Possessed Shadow Atrium to upgrade might be accectable.

I don't think it's that OP since it's end game, it would be great for some stuff that spoils really fast

i personally don't like rebundling so I kind of like this new item, my idea is to have something different to stand out so people stop comparing it to Bundle Wrap

That's the point, to bring something different to the table, different items with new functionality is my point

How something that is cheaper, allows a bigger quantity of food, can be carried or dropped in any place and takes a lot less space is inferior????

Well, bundle wraps let you store 36 (9 chest slot * 4 bundle slot) stacks of food in a single chest with infinite spoilage compared to this new very late game item that stores 1 stack. Not even going to touch how useful they are before bearger bin for food on the go. Heck, I still carry a bundle for warly buffs in addition to the bin. Absolutely not inferior; they still are better than the late game items in many ways.

I'd like it to refresh food too, but to me it's already amazing. I use it to store nightberries and for Warly food showcase. Anyway I like it more than bundlewraps since I can simply take an item I need for the situation, e.g. temperature increase food, put the rest back into storage and that's it. No more "unwrap and wrap again if unwrapped the wrong one" problems.

People asked for transparent bundle wrap - they got it, but with slots trade. To me it's awesome already)

Are people really complaining about Icker containers? I think they are amazing, versatile, and extremely cheap to craft, if you spent time sailing for gem trees you will have both a lot of empty bottles and green gems to dupe as much dreadstone as you want, and theres other ways to stack lot of dreadstone like farming werepig,  Wilson's transmute, or even the post-rift dreadstone outposts.

You can easily set up a lot of containers for either stacks of dishes or even ingredients. Like for example, last endless I set up a couple near banana bushes. I also set up a couple near ocean trawlers and leafyplants since those types of meat spoil quickly and you can just stack them there at the containers rather than opening bundles all the time.

This is false.

Icker is good as is. It is better than bundle wrap for the purpose of eating at base, while bundlewrap is on the go.

Saving grass and time for when you eat at base is a huge convenience. Not to mention the ease of display purposes.
