Deconstruct Krampus sacks into dark tatters/pure horror.

Yeah that definitely sounds better and more useful. 

it should indeed mirror the crafting ingredients of something from a completely different game.

2 bone shards, 1 moon gleam, 1 dreadstone. 

if that were the drops i think i would deconstruct even my first krampus sack right away!

Not sure Im see the use of deconstructing something that is both very rare as well as it deconstructing into... largely non-thematic materials. 

It would be funny if it using the staff on it caused it to do a silly animation where it spits out a bunch of random valuable stuff, then disappeared similar to how krampus uses it to warp away... but that's all I got. It reminds me of the fact we can deconstruct spider queen heads, but why would you for 4 silk?

I do it just to get rid of them, and it basically doubles the drops of a spider queen which is an ok bonus.

would be nice to explore where the imps seem to hail from since its cannon that they come and go as they please dimension wise. That would explain why krampus seems to be everywhere including the dlc's, and yeah its just an element of gameplay but it could be cool to see come wortoxes skill tree.

Then what are they related to? 

Because krampus isnt a shadow aligned creature doesnt mean its sack cant be made of shadow magic. Klaus uses a life giving amulet. 

this is all made up. None of this is real. This game isnt based on books or anything like that lol. Anything can be changed at any moment. 

Dark tatters/pure horror is the best approximation i could come up with for appropriate materials.

I have 4 sacks in my day 1050ish world. The last one is still in the decidious forest where it dropped from a klaus krampus because i cant be bothered to bring another superfluous krampus sack to my base. 
 

the use in deconstructing it would be because it inevitably piles up like i mentioned in my OP and you cant remove them in any other way.

This kind of sarcasm isn't constructive, it just spreads negativity for the sake of it.

Some magical thing should protect sacks, in a way that only empty sacks can be deconstructed.

Also I would change it so when deconstructed it should drop a guaranteed elastispacer bp, and maybe other random loot.
 

Considering the sack itself is very related to the rng part of the game, deconstructing it could maybe reward you with low value stuff like poop or charcoal, or high value blueprints, lunar or shadow aligned stuff, etc. Make it a surprise each time you do it.
