Does anyone know the actual odds of the Fortuitous rabbit spawning in? I've been playing a lot on the beta and I have yet to see even one so I was curious if anyone has spotted it yet. The lucky rabbit fell down from eartquakes to me. Ridley Posted September 10, 2024 Share Posted September 10, 2024 I saw it one time in a short lived world on the surface. I saw it like four times in the caves after an earthquake. Seems like the surface rabbits don't despawn when they enter their hole, meaning you won't see a fortuitous rabbit come out a hole as long as a normal one lives there. The fortuitous rabbits that fall from earthquakes seem to despawn when unloaded. I could be totally wrong about how this works since I still don't know what the fortuitous rabbit even wants for me or how to see a benevolent king. Not sure if that's a bug or intended. gonna try it a few more time just to make sure. wait a second... I swear if its because i had meat on me... nope it happened again, it's always violent for some reason... I think you fell in the same trap that I discussed it here: which is having meat in your inventory. Surprised it fooled you since you're an experienced player, but I suppose it's normal since his appearance doesn't reflect that of a Bunnymen. The more time is passing, the more I'm hating, not Rabbit king on itself, but how Klei implement it. Whyyy he's not a cave boss locked ffs. But that would’ve made it too far late game for its loot to be worthy of anything. (still would’ve been fun lore though..) They spawn by replacing regular rabbit, which only happen when the player is nearby. It is higher in caves because there are less rabbits in general, so the chances are higher or it is like that? I'll just leave my questions here whilst I do other things like make dinner or something. I learned back in the day largely due to 1 part trial and error and 2 parts community interactions. Mostly ingame word of mouth, good times that, lots of friends to make when you are learning together. Absolutely absolutely, I'm not that surprised, especially if you go blind to it, as Klei intended. I just couldn't do a blind run this time because it's caves and being such a #CavesAndRuinsTeam fan, I couldn't resist the urge to spoil myself and see what Klei did. It's also why all of a sudden I wake up from my slumber and became active again in the community. Also funny thing, I did have your same interaction. The very same day the beta dropped, I test the rabbit king and the first time he attacked me. I didn't understood why and wanted to see his trades, until, by random chance, I decided to have my inventory empty and then it clicked me. He was angry of my meat.
