Will we have skill trees this update?

So, will we have Skill Trees on this update, or will it be like a Host of Horrors update XD?

I was waiting with excitement for this beta to see what characters they brought, but it didn't bring any skill tree and in the klei stream they didn't show anything either, which left me a little sad :c

I don't because if they did it'd be really bad considering they haven't even started working on it.

But yea if the pattern remains the same every 2nd update will be a no skill tree update.

Yeah? Well my question is how they managed to put more awesome content into an update that also contained two skill trees and yet also somehow release a content  update without skill trees that feels like it has less content than the ones that also came with skill trees?

They said on stream they were on summer vacation. Of course they're putting out less content for this update!

I try not to indulge in comments like these as often as I'd want to but I gotta point out that not only were the devs just coming back from vacation, this is certainly a more quality than quantity focused update.

It may not seem like a lot but I can't imagine how much time went into setting up all the various new mechanics we've gotten.
Time had to go into animations for everything added, various used, unused, cut animations for the snake, axe, icker, everything.
New systems for void falling, the animation for that, setting up bridges and how they work. 

Not to mention the Worm!! Porting Pugalisk isn't the easiest thing to do in the world, there's a reason there's no higher quality ports of it in mods.
Time had to go into making it work, reanimating it, doing its art, optimization, and even's a lot of other things I haven't glossed over in the beta.

I'm not excusing it feeling small, I myself am disappointed about the lack of cave changes, but I feel like some people are missing where the time went into.

Quote from 2024 roadmap:

"With our new schedule we will be releasing 4 major updates; each containing a mix of QOL, content and additional character updates. In between these updates we will be releasing new lore shorts, new skins and occasional news on their own just to keep things from being too quiet for too long."

I know things get off track, but at least before the next update was right around the corner.
