Yes but this is the caves update where people are supposed to spend time in the caves and do caves things, and you're arguing that players shouldn't have to do caves things, they should be able to sit by the entrance and have the new boss just come to them. People who don't make moggles never even interact with depth worms in the first place to get that necessary glowberry component. So those players that don't interact with depth worms should reasonably interact with the depth worms boss?

Since the worms are supposed to like glowberries, and the big one likes to eat big stuff, maybe building a scare crow and applying a few glowberries would entice it out of hiding? Maybe only working in the lichen biome where there's other glow worms around? Could be fun.

I'm not arguing that at all I'm saying people shouldn't have to go out of their way to use something they wouldn't otherwise have use for in mass for a chance to spawn something that looks similar.

I fine with us having them both in waves and a out of wave boss fight that can put it on cooldown but I don't want it to require heavy rng.

Figured I'd add this is just blatantly false most people who would be interested in them just use wx, woodie, or willow instead while the rest tend to just use the numerous other light options.
