More Cave biomes + Seasonal interactions?

Recommended Posts

What if Caves had an icy, deepfrozen biome, in which you could mine out creatures or lost artifacts from ice? And during Winter, the biome spreads the ice to nearby places, while also becoming more dangerous by itself.

There could also be Lava Caves with strong minerals you can mine out, and it also fills with more content during Summer.
It could be a good opportunity to expand on environmental hazards and toy with temperature mechanics as well.

What are your ideas on expanding on Caves?

i miss the lagoon set-piece from shipwrecked so second on a lil' "lake" to pancake in(bonus if there is already a boat there when i find it)

A prehistoric turtle we can step on acting as a sentinel boat.

Subterranean ocean or lakes with constant's prehistoric creatures like in journey to the center of earth would be cool

Pd. Ankler fish to farm glow berries by fishing

Honestly, I would be happy to see whatever cave biomes Klei adds,, but the problem is that many of the existing biomes are boring and urgently need improvement. However, Klei has not responded, so I dare not expect them to add new biomes.

I got a cool idea. little mushroom knights in the mushroom biomes, each themed on typical RPG classes related to the mushrooms somewhat. They spawn in each of their biomes, but all of them spawn in the mixed mushrooms.

Red will be a melee tank warrior with a sword, shield, and dash attack. It wears a red funcap.

Blue will be a healer/summoner, who works with befriended dangling depth dwellers and has a weak ranged lobbed attack. It wears a blue funcap.

Green will be a mage/ranger who can cast spells and shoot lobbed projectiles. It wears a green funcap.

Each has a chance to drop their weapon which holds some of their abilities. They can be refilled with spores.

When Klei adds new biomes to dst, at least the ones added recently they are often tiny secluded little biomes that don’t really have a heck of a lot of content in them.

Your wanting them to create more and more new biomes, I’m wanting them to completely redo and overhaul the already existing biomes.

Why add even more locations that I’ll barely visit when they can just update the areas I already visit with better visuals and new content?

The one singular exception to this is the Ocean, THAT needs more Islands out there to set sail to and explore (like the shipwrecked DLC)

I can even give two pretty good examples, Crab King and both Frost Jaws fights take place on Icey Islands (that Melt/Break) But … they could’ve been ON an actual Icey Island and still surrounded by the Water.

Heres a picture presentation because I’m absolutely Awful at explaining things.

My point is simple, Before Klei adds an Icey Underground cave biome or whatever, they should heavily consider repurposing, and working with the content that’s already in the game.

Actually I would love both new and reworked biomes a thousand times more than ANY character rework / skilltree / "endgame" stuff.
