Krampus Vs Lag

What if having an excessive amount of items on the ground in an area would start attracting krampi? They would combat lag.

Does this mean the ability of mobs spawning outside of their bioms during some world-gen options could be brought back? [in a "light" version and only when Krampus is enabled? ;;]

Apart from that I'd love more occasions to see Krampii appearing in game.

I meant the old behaviour of world-gen that when you put mobs on LOTS they would occasionally spawn out of their home biomes, leading to some funny creature fights that made the world feel more alive. [It's just a detail that I miss but apparently it was one day removed to prevent lags. It still can be done in single player DS game....at least the last time I checked.]

It's a very interesting idea, although sometimes its temporary, like when you are farming your 90 marble trees or your 300 birchnut trees. Also krampii don't steal that many items before they despawn.

Maybe it could be a penalty when you purposely store junk on the ground, like leaving items in a specified area for more than a season, or never cleaned your super big spider quarry mess.

Thats kinda what UNCOMP does. There these things called "rat raids" that happen when you have too much stuff on the ground, encouraging you to use chest more often.

I feel like krampus being attracted to many items on the ground would cause more problems then it would solve. Keep in mind mobs are much, much more performance demanding than items. There’s a reason you can store potentially thousands of items on the ground, but the game struggles with ~100 of pretty much any mob in this game.

3-4 krampus is not the same as 80 spiders following webber on the screen.

We can give them vaccums, so 1 krampus can clean tons.
