CK should drop a sunken chest when the pearl is not socketed

Recommended Posts

The simple suggestion here is not for enriching CK's loot further(though I think it is necessary to some degree). But for hinting players who are not familiar with how to obtain Celestial Tribute that always bring a Pinchin' Winch when fighting CK. So that they can avoid a awkward situation that have to go back to base to build a Pinchin' Winch to salvage the tribute since they don't know this until seeing something sink into the water.

This effectively adds value to fight the boss more than that once, this is nice.

Ideally, green socketed should affect drops to encourage variety experience of the fight, but that would be harder to implement on the fly in a beta.

Actually similar idea was a part of the topic when I typing. You see, we have a new ocean setpiece that has a sunken chest contains a lot of gems and ancient crafts. Why it is only a setpiece rather than CK's drop? It would be great if it corresponds to Ancient Guardian's big chest and put the idea "the gems you socketed affects the reward you get" into practice. Maybe CK can drop a key to unlock the sunken chests……

Ok just stop here. In fact I honesty feel it a bit impossible since Klei has added message in a bottle to CK's loot. But I firmly believe the hint is necessary. Whatever the weight exactly is, CK should drop something sinks into the water.
