Copyafriend
this thread is for compiling tips and tricks for winona and her new skill tree WINbot - *can be stationed near chests to auto-organize them, simply drop off materials on the ground and let winbot handle it for you *will gather items into backpacks on the ground, deploy winbot and drop yoyr backpack on the ground for quick deployment of a gathering bot. (most useful for woodchopping) *can gather up your catapults for you when you're done, have a chest or bag nearby with a catapult and deconstruct them into items, speeds up taking down your setups for travel *WINbot will return to wherever it was placed when done gathering, it wont charge while deployed, but if it dies it can automatically recharge if it was deployed within range of a generator, also useful for signaling when the winbot is done telebrella *moves nearby items with you, this includes full backpacks (of catapults?) and heavy items like suspicious marble. good for bringing large amounts of resources to construction sites or preparing a boss arena *if your telestation is equal distance between two other telestations, you can choose a destination by moving closer to one or the other. you can chain telestations in this manner *if there is no telestation in range, it can be used like a backstep watch to dodge attacks. *useful for a quick escape from an unfortunate situation (requires telestation) gen/GEMerators: *nightmare fuel is an early-midgame game cheap power source, pick it up even if you have no interest in the shadow alignment *at full efficiency a regular generator can run five catapults (without remote) for the full duration of the average raid boss fight (20k health) *enlightened shards recharge the GEMerator over time, more efficiency means more things that can be ran constantly without overloading. even at minimum efficiency, a enlightened shard gemerator can run 2 spotlights indefinitely, making it a worthwhile alternative to mushlights. catapults: *catapults will destroy regular walls, use wall alternatives like statues or fossils *winonas remote's targeting feature is best used one target at a time against fast creatures, lead your shots, spamming will lead to it shooting at an older target and missing (mostly for bee queen) *Max AOE upgrades makes the catapults much better at hitting things without your help, use this upgrade if you dont want to manually aim the catapults. *minimum aoe makes the catapults less likely to cause collateral damage to nearby walls on accident, its good for farms if you dont want to make the whole thing out of indestructible materials. *catapults can easily be used to kill tentacles/tentapillars. a catapult can even kill tentacles without player intervention by attacking it just often enough to keep it on the surface. tentapillar requires manual aiming inspectacles *provides scrap, making for a worthwhile lategame scrap supplement *provides an excessive amount of electrical doodads, which are required in abundance for her more advanced crafts. dont craft them manually, just keep using the inspectacles. *calibrated perciever can be used to discover the recipe for even raid boss items. give the blueprint to your friend and use the calibrated perciever on the unused bundling wrap. *if you do not have any immediate plans for the holographic resources, feel free to drop them, yes they'll disappear but they dont take that long to amass, and in the meantime you wont have them clogging your inventory *more warning than tip, but de-equipping the inspectacles will immediately delete an already opened cache, even if it's not done dispensing its loot. does not delete unopened cache's, but you can't see them without them equipped. please list your tips and tricks below as well (i havent played much with rose tinted glasses yet) Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/157039-winona-tips-and-tricks/ Share on other sites

Copyafriend
Winona tip: Statues are cumbersome to transport even short distances, simply move your teletransport pad to where you want the statues to go, and transport them several at a time. (I used this to begin setting up a spider farm) Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/157039-winona-tips-and-tricks/#findComment-1725329 Share on other sites

Even better if you have a Woodie friend who can do the chopping, you do the stump digging, lil man does the gathering Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/157039-winona-tips-and-tricks/#findComment-1725350 Share on other sites
kroban
You can now use the moon infused catapults to farm workable things. This includes a **** ton of things in the game, from trees (and mushtrees), to salt, ice, statues in ruins, or even rift crystals. It will probably also include shards from moon storm, and the whole "hail accumulation" that Klei devs want to add later. This is a thing that Klei added in beta just now and could change later down the road, but I really hope it stays, it essentially added a Thumper which is a HUGE buff to Winona Link to comment https://forums.kleientertainment.com/forums/topic/157039-winona-tips-and-tricks/#findComment-1725415 Share on other sites
