Yeah you know what, maybe swapping is bad. Winona will make all these catapults with the resources the team gathers then abandon them instead of being their catapult slave. I guess the rest of the team can at least look at them and remember the good old days when Winona let other people touch her stuff and think about the fun they had gathering the resources which are now locked up in catapult-shaped statues.

It doesn't demean characters for me, I've played many of them and even if I have my "mains" I enjoy much of many of them anyway. You got something wrong stuck in your head for thinking that other characters lose purpose. They are fun in their own ways.

I heavily disagree with this, if anyone could use Abigail’s flower what would be the point in playing as Wendy? If Anyone could Use Walters Slingshots & Woby, Why not just turn every character into Wes?

Yeah let’s let Wes be able to use every characters ability like he was one of those highly popular overseas mod characters that can do everything and is far far too broken to ever be any fun.

Already everyone can use Wendy's Cistern sanity restore, it eliminate the point to playing Wendy?
Already everyone can use Walter's Pinetree Pioneer Hat, it eliminate the point to playing Walter?

That's a really bad comparison as your comparing minor abilities to a major one you don't see everyone going around using the codex umbra now do you?

Abigail doesn't have a skilltree and thus isn't on same level atm for having progression. 

All characters exist outside the portal to be set with skills and tools to do the job they're supposed to and whatever they can. You can't swap characters on spot, gotta travel to the portal itself so it's basically just like having another player come in and do the work anyway if they were to pick that specific niche skill someone needs to be done.

That's why I like swap ability, because it's efficient and many characters will bring experience to the world to your own volition. Already progressed enough in the world? Just make a new one and start over. Many people do that. So it doesn't matter.

Also, to be frank, I don't really wanna play with more people most of the time. Big reason why I enjoy playing with swap mechanics.
