Brother.. if you played in my server on The Survivalists, or Minecraft YOU wouldn’t have any control over building or placing anything until I edit server settings and decide to grant you those permissions.

So Yes, I 100% absolutely do think I should have total control over rather or not you can and can’t use the celestial Portal.

My Server, My Rules.. don’t like it? Host Your own or find a different one more to your liking.

so if i think an item is so weak and useless and need  to get a buff i am not allowed ? or not  and if i think an item is so op and need a nerf i am not allowed to say anything  because i can lock my self from using this item so what is allowed and not allowed to request or change on the game ?

i like the portal, it allow me to play an early game focus character like wortox and then switch to wanda once the tusks are more readily available, the solution isnt to stop the switching is for each character to give you something you will miss when playing someone else.
for example no matter how strong other characters get, i will always miss just how convenient it can be to eat a bunch of souls, or hop around, sanity issues? i will just hop to lunar island for a short vacation.

winona just didnt have anything for you to miss since the catapults were there, now she does have more

Can all the sane people agree to stop entertaining terrible suggestion threads like this one? I think from comments like the one this thread opens with it should be obvious how completely unserious a discussion this is.

The only suggestion of any merit here is yeah sure, let Mike and whoever toggle the portal off in settings so they can make their games less fun for the people that they're definitely actually playing the game with

I've never seen anyone use this on public servers... I believe people use it on solo servers, or in worlds with friends, a resource for worlds that would be lost because you simply wanted to play with another character, I don't think it's wrong for players abuse other characters' items or buildings, I think the problem is that these things are possible to abuse in the first place, I think that decisions made like Winona's catapults are the right decisions, I think what could perhaps be done was increase the cost of the portal, such as using an enlightened shard.

why is it bother u so much when the thing u hate can be totally avoided by not using celestial gate.

do u think there is no time where celestial portal not exist ? 
before celestial portal was added i know one guy that buy 3 copy of DST just to swap character to play on his world. sometimes cus he want the perks other char have, sometime cus they bored with one character but wanna stay in same world.


talking about winona catapult being used to other char is totally acceptable, they took alot of resources to build + if u use statue as barricade that more rocks to spend.. they also took huge chunk of base to setup. so having some of use of that huge build its alright . 

i mean in my world i dont even make catapult if there is no winona try to join and ask me if i want a hound fortress. well, should now i say "no winona pls" when people try to join my wolrd cus i dont want useless ruins scattered my base or near where i usually fight boss?

I think it is a mistake to post such extreme ideas. In my opinion, the person who posted it did so out of spite because they couldn't accept views that differed from their own in the original post. To be honest, Celestial Portal is an excellent design, and posting this is a serious error. I believe this post wasn't made for discussion but rather out of a refusal to accept differing opinions, akin to someone saying, "I can't accept certain aspects of the game and made some comments, then someone suggested I shouldn't play this game," which is an extreme stance. Honestly, I'm surprised this post got so many views. Maybe a lot of people enjoy the drama?
