Give us more ways to obtain fuel brilliance in the early game

Recommended Posts

Currently, the new Wurt and Winona's affinity skills (Wigfrid, also) requires pure horror or pure brilliance to be activated. The problem is, obtaining pure brilliance is much more tedious than obtaining pure horror. We can obtain pure horror relatively early thanks to the Nightmare Werepig, and even get it more with Wilson chose shadow affinity. But there's no such treat for pure brilliance, making the choice for lunar affinity obsolete in early games. I hope there will be more ways to obtain pure brilliance or infused moon shard in early game.

ya but until thats made various shadow skills will be better simply becasue they're easier to access, which i guess that could suit the lore. we can hole for lunar/enlightned werepig but unless its in the update coming after this release it would be nice to at least have a placeholder methode

Yeah according to the description.

Have you tried it? Because it might be referring to whatever the casting effect is that pure brilliance and pure horror gives when you have the proper alignment. It doesn't seem to be properly implemented currently though.

If you get a chance to confirm in game later let me know but this will be nice if that's really how they're handling it. There's also the possibility it just gives them planar damage and that's it though but if it does work that way Wickerbottom is really gonna be in high demand after this update.

Also if I get to test this first I'll let you know the result though I won't be near a computer for quite awhile.

I just duplicate most of my pure brilliance and void stuff via green gems. The things we get from those rifts are good as they are, but if you got abundance of gems you can easily create plenty more of that rare late game material. It's all lategame anyway, should be expected that you do ruin raids regularly enough.

Pretty sure you can use glass to mutate them

I'm not doubting anyone on that in particular but I would like to hear if someone tested it just to be completely sure since even if that's the intention we don't know if it's even working properly until someone does.

This doesn't read like someone who was saying they tested it.

pic of merms fed with moon glass. i cant tell if they do different damage numbers but they do have a bramble husk style thorns effect when hit

I thought these were the shadow versions. They look like it.

unfortunately the shadow versions are a bit lack luster visually, could have more going on similar to the shadow pieces or the shadow trio but right now they are basically Maxwell puppets. Although I will say, your armies when you align with charlie are very hard to shut down, whilst also generating nightmare fuel in the event the merms die twice.

(if it wasn't known, shadow alignment with no influence other then befriending the merm, in the event they die, they come back as a shadow version of themselves)

(Mermie-ro, merms die twice)
