I like this setpiece.

The loot is determined from the setpiece (which I can’t believe can give a houndius, not gonna complain on that though). If you are curious, the table for it is as follows: 


5-6 thulecite or thulecite walls
lazy forager, cons.amulet or magi* (85%)
lazy explorer, star caller's or decon* (85%)
pick/axe, nutrient goggles or houndius (85%)
thul crown, armor or club* (85%)
2-3 of any gem (3x)
ancient tree seed (10%)
gnome. (50%)

* randomly between 80%-100% durability

Oh trust me, it really did gave a houndius, AND a starcaller staff. I really hope this ain't a bug because the ocean deserves some actual worthwhile loot, even if it's from a setpiece.

I am disappointed in the ocean additions so far, not speaking for crab king yet as I haven't been really able to test him properly yet but that rework so far is looking like my favourite part of the update.

Also... I'm having an issue with my beta refresh rate being locked to 48 even if I change it, does anyone know a solution to this?

There just really wasn't enough thought put into how they can change the worldgen even without affecting the main gameplay to improve ocean exploration. I don't think anyone likes farming resources for multiple boats or cicling around the mainland to get from one side of the ocean to another (that and at least for the current state of the beta, there isn't enough new stuff on the ocean, or even enough of an incentive to go on it still.)

I like the bootleg getaway, but I really don't get why something like that should be locked behind a boss. Even if they don't add any of my previous ideas on how to help out ocean exploration be less annoying and tedious, they could always add something like the bermuda triangles from shipwrecked as ocean wormholes that naturally spawn.

Nightberries and the trees are awesome though.

You can transfer yourself from one side of the map to the other instantly, and then go back on land like nothing happened. Instant teleportation wherever you want, near land also, so "semi-land" teleportation. Kinda strong if you ask me, too strong to be a normal craft or foraging loot.

I didn't mean to add it as a thing you can craft, I meant to actually fix the issues with the ocean traversal than just... well, a bandaid.

Loot table from sunkenchest_oceanmonument.lua:

Thulecite or Thulecite Wall, 5~8, guaranteed.

Lazy Forager or Magi or Construction Amulet, with 90%~100% durability(green amu 80%~), 85%.

Lazy Explorer or Star Caller or Deconstruction Staff, with 80%~100% durability, 85%.

Pick/Axe or Premier Gardeneer Hat or Houndius Shootius, with 80%~100% durability, 85%.

Thulecite Crown or Thulecite Armor or Thulecite Club, with 80%~100% durability, 85%.

Gems of 2 random colors, 2~3 for each color, guaranteed.

Gems of random color, 2~3, 66%.

Ancient Seed, 10%.

Gnome(male), 50%.

It seems that currently there're some unknown bugs causing that the chest doesn't have proper loots spawned in it.
