DST limitless custom worlds?

What if don't starve together had a mode where you could create your own world? (I.E change land and the ocean, turf, add items and mobs, ect.) In lore it could just be Maxwell starting out and shaping the world when entering the constant for the first time.

Changing how much of something is in a world is nice, but i feel like limitless custom worlds would be really cool.

(If something like this already exists then please inform me)

It probably exists already as a PC Mod, but if such an official “Sandbox/Creative” mode was to ever be added into DST I would single handedly make it my personal life mission to show Klei just how much prettier and full of content their game world COULD be using only the already existing content that’s in the game without adding anything New.

Better yet if we could create our own maps, by placing items, mobs, monsters and map layout and then upload those to a server for other players to download and attempt to play (like Little Big Planet or Battleblock Theatre) I’d love to see what kind of worlds/challenges players can cook up.

But remember the only rule is NO MODS ALLOWED, it has to be content even a Nintendo Switch player could enjoy.

Yeah being able to play your own worlds would also be cool.

The idea came to me when i wondered if transporting essential caves content to the surface could be possible, imagine how pretty the game would look if dead space was replaced by cave content.

Imagine, fields of light bulbs during a night near the coast or an atlantic ruins and atrium in the ocean for you to explore.

A lunar mushtree field on the lunar island, connected by the archives.

A bigger moonquay that isin't coin sized...

Custom islands in the ocean to fill dead space...

It would be amazing!

My one question that no one seems to want to take seriously, is that given a very very very long time players with mega base worlds can relocate almost if not all of the games resources and mobs, and the few things they can not relocate, they can change the turf of so it looks like it spawned in another Biome, so then why isn’t the game capable of doing that on its own without the players input?

If you ever wanted to completely screw with your friends mind, remove all of the turf from a swamp, replace it with forest turf and trees, but leave the swamp tentacles for them to step on, yes you can do that… trolling to the maximum of efforts

Yeah, i would like also another option to world generation to create even smaller worlds xD 

I play solo dst and most of the time i play on small worlds but sometimes im thinking like i would play on even smaller like "alone world size"? xD

What do you think?

personally i'd like an option to have the caves and surface world servers run one at a time so my potato laptop doesn't catch on fire when playing multiplayer

Yeah, there has to be some sort of optimization hiccup when it comes to generating small worlds. It takes 1hr to generate a small world compared to a standard sized one.

It probably has to do with the decreased area making it difficult to place all the world's required set pieces and biomes properly while following any rules that placement might have.

alternatively: Enlist a wurt to craft swamp turf and use the hat to replace the entire world with a swamp, THEN use wickerbottom to spawn tentacles everywhere.
