Why does atrium key unplug itself?

So putting ancient key into ancient gate will light up fuelweaver arena, close it's exit, and will allow you to start fuelweaver fight. But it will also keep ruins in the nightmare phase forever. Or rather it should, but whenever you unload the gate - the key magically unplugs itself. 

I'd really like that changed, so that the key stayed inside untill you unplug it yourself.

You do not go through ruins to the atrium. Usually. 

Repaired ancient gate is a perfect opportunity to remove unplugging 

Why would anyone want it to remain in there? It only makes ruins a lot more annoying. Unless via void travel there's no simpler way to get to the key, especially when the gateway has bars set up staying up when the key is in. Only way to get to being lazy explorer or via Wortox... but it's still a little silly of an idea to want it in.

Any new ruin raiders in public servers would only view this as a negative because the whole ruins becomes hostile and trapped at that point.

Maybe if in Solo experience it should be left as an option, or just worldgen option as what you could turn on if you're a masochist lol.
