If we aren't getting batch cooking, can the "Destroy" button in the furnace be disabled in settings?

I've elected not to use the garbage disposal function of the scaled furnace, but I would like to use it as a container for thermal stones. 

Inevitably, if I decide to use it this way with the destroy button functional, I'll click destroy and lose 40 rocks, 20 flint and 8 twigs in a single button press.

I use it for thermal stones too. It's pretty hard to click on it accidentally but i'm pretty sure we'll see mod for that soon if that's issue for many people
