There's a significant shift in DST'S music compared to the rest?

Unsure if it's cause Klei got a new composer but the music seems more smooth in tone as of late in boss OST and moon events, sailing being more silent and less upbeat. Something is a little odd about them in that regard. Compared to many other songs for some reason to really enjoy them I need to increase the volume with those songs otherwise they'll be really blown away by all sound effect noises instead.

I bet many others have noticed it too. Nightmare werepig being one of those additions but it actually really makes sense for him for how he acts carefully before danger really kicking and music to feel more tense with the fight itself being periods of grace before kicking into battle.

I wanna know what are other people's thoughts with the new song additions to the game.

Some guy here made some farming music for Winter, Spring, Summer, and the caves, and I legitimately think that sounds more like official music than some of the recent official music they've been releasing.

The songs are very fine and fun, only that they're silent imo. Couldn't get much confirmation to as of why it's the case. I have to ramp up volume if I wanna hear the songs.

I don't think the songs are bad, I just think they sound very different to the older tracks.

Because an artist's style changes over time. Vince De Vera (I think) has been composing DS/DST music for about 11 years now, and it's definitely different...

I still think that the Hamlet OST was the peak of game music.

SW, Hamlet and Gorge are my favorites. It just sounds so good...

Yeah idk what's up with the new tracks but they are so quiet, the worst offender of these is the track that plays while helping Wagstaff seal a lunar storm, not only is it quiet like the rest of the new tracks but also due to how the moonstorm's sounds deafen other ones it even deafens the track, thus making it barely audible until you seal the storm and the sound filter goes away.
