I'm aware that I may be a newbie in the forums but rest assured, I'm here for a good time As we Wilson players had heard from what the developers said about not reworking/improving his torch tree, yes it stings. It sucks for me too, since I do believe it can stay, but just having some tweaks or different abilities than only a torch toss. You know, basically just asking for improvements instead of outrightly not wanting it. BUT that's not the point of this post. This post is for us to appreciate what we like and love about the funny science guy, who in spite of all the terrors and horrors of the Constant, stood up high against them with the power of his mind! This is how I usually have him dressed up. The barber shirt and apron compliments the botanist's trousers very well, as well as the red dye on his hair for a slight flavor. Most Wilson heads will fit this too in my opinion, with me switching to the Victorian or the Guest of Honor every now and then. Speaking of the Guest of Honor, I dressed him like this before his Masquerade skin was adjusted: He looks like a disgruntled biker So, feel free to share anything about Wilson you enjoy such as how you styled him up in your game, etc. Have fun! Swiyss Posted March 4, 2024 Share Posted March 4, 2024 I like to use shadow suit with tuxedo gloves and high heel. All of them are distinguish or heirloom idk the red one. I like to max my transmutation tree and beard tree, I almost always choose lunar side unless I wanna go for celestial champion before ag. I really enjoy making a winter shaft in deciduous early game, no matter where it is on the map, and I usually do it far away from the king. I use this base to farm giant crops early and lobsters, also some piggies and catcoons and berries for food. I really enjoy mining the most amount of ice possible and maybe try to find the sharkboi, I always do these weird combinations when playing him. I kill klaus in winter with cobble road and then in spring, I do everything that I can to farm the most amount of meese/geese, find the oasis and prepare a second base with everything I need for summer. Then fish for blueprints, lamb crown and beach toy. I kill antlion and go to the caves, find the mud and all toad spawners, potentially I clear some spots in the ruins if I have the time or the archives. That's my first year, then I just keep creating bases in different biomes and repeating this process with dfly, then bee queen (the ocky way) etc.. What I love about wilson, is that I can survive pretty much in his shoes, thinking "what would wilson do?" And that gives me an immersion that hardly any other character does or did. Maybe webber had a lot of nice runs with me, I also enjoy to do the same with him, a more "thematic" approach. I have plenty of my heaviest crops while playing as him (I'm also the resident farmer Wilson in most of public servers I joined) This is the garden I have in my solo world. And of course the 2 heaviest crops I currently have. Filip_G Posted March 4, 2024 Share Posted March 4, 2024 I find Wilson very natural and fitting into the game. He´s not overperked as some other characters and beard perk is just believable. Best skin imo is the survivor skin...very fitting to the game. I allways play as Wilson cos he reminds me of myself, unapreciated scientist. Just, he has better hair... my is moving already from head to other places *sigh*. It simply won't make any sense if he doesn't have any skill tree perks about it. The "For science!" slogan especially strikes hard for me, since Wilson clings to it for what he did back in Forbidden Knowledge up till now. Everything was for science. WinterWondering Posted March 16, 2024 Share Posted March 16, 2024 Wilson Percival Higgsbury, in my opinion, is just so iconic. I think that he's an amazing protagonist for an amazing game. He's well-written, and the move you dive into his backstory, the darker it gets (the whole thing with his family is really sad). He's got a fun personality and I like his dynamics with other characters, Maxwell especially. Just my opinion, though. Truly it is! The time when I inspected the Peg Leg in SW, I actually went "Wow so he dabbled in medical science?! That's so cool!" Especially when you take into consideration how he was the one who invented the meat effigy, the telltale heart and the booster shot. And he also revived players 3 times faster in The Forge. I certainly hope there will be more to Wilson's backstory but I'm also satisfied with what we got 18 hours ago, Gi-Go said: Best character. The man, the myth, the legend...
