A slight willow rebalance

Recommended Posts

So it seems everyone is torn on where the line with Willow's skill tree should be drawn so I'll throw my unpopular opinion in the ring and try to meet people halfway

Shadow Fire Cooldown removed

Lunar Fire Cooldown dropped to 5 seconds after the channeling ends

Controlled Fire Enemies stop panicking 5 seconds into being lit on fire. Another instance of panic can happen once the initial fire goes out.

Fire Ball Cost increased to 3 embers duration dropped to 3 minutes.

I feel these changes would strike a decent enough balance.

you remove the panicking of the enemies and you would have you removed one of the new core aspects of willow gameplays, other characters have more power and control over enemies without it, why she cant be powerfull ?

Imagine if you added a cooldown to maxwells cage, most of his starts would be unusable, why is it different for willow ?

More enemies should be immune to fire panic, I whacked a clockwork knight with her lighter to death because it was scared of fire...a mechanical enemy should not be afraid of fire. It should be limited to ''adds'' and not thematically combat-capable enemies.

It's not some crazy nerf 5 seconds of panicking between fires is still a impressive level of crowd control and it's not like she needs to be absolutely invincible against panicking mobs to compete.

Fireball I'm still on the fence about outright dropping anyhow, it's cheap to copy, but so replacing brighter lighter another light source; and the Bernie skills aren't highly coveted either

Not a fan of the added cooldown

but fire panic is a fun and unique way to fight and I'd prefer to keep it the same at the expense of everything else on the skill tree, but I'll admit discussing it in terms of balance is annoying, e.g. are burn proof enemies relevant to discussion, are sleeping inducing characters equivalent, is ipecac of all things relevant, are individual mobs a threat, and if so are there ones that are beneath consideration
