Two funny comparisons about Wormwood

Recommended Posts

We all know how precious health is for our Wormwood because his health is equal to resources. He can summon a saladmander at a cost of 25 health, which have very poor moving speed, low attack frequency and can never reach the ripe stage(even weaker than the wild one).

And we can notice that the damage of the unripe saladmander is 40, lower than the counterinjury aura of burning Bernie, which only at a cost of one click.

Lastly, Wormwood can summon 2 saladmander at most. But Wickerbottom can summon at most 16 bundle bees. It's unbelievable that this is one of the highest skill point of Wormwood. Wormwood doesn't need much more advantages in battle, but it doesn't means his unique skill for battle should be so weak!

Why the designer show so much partiality?

Why not just make BERNIE less powerful so we don't powercreep over and over again?

Is Bernie really so powerful? If there are characters need to be nerfed, Wolfgang, Woodie and Maxwell(even without skill tree) would be first. Actually Willow isn't that "powerful" in the middle and late stages of the game, and as a biased character in a long period she need to be praised.

Because you can't really stop at Bernie if he's a problem then multiple characters need nerfed and things need to be rebalanced all nerfing Bernie would do is cause problems later down the line.

And the problem with that is? If Klei wants to do character refresh 2.0 they might as well rebalance. Although judging from the current skill trees, it seems Klei doesn't want to rebalance, just buffs and buffs so everyone is more powerful for no reason

The problem is they're not going to do that and even if they wanted to the backlash would change their minds if they were I'd say fine but we both know that's not the direction things are heading so I don't support making Bernie exclusively underpowered by comparison.

Saladmanders are fine as they are in my opinion. They are two decently huge walking health sack that can distract stuff like hound waves decently well. Their damage are just a tiny bit of bonus that doesn't amount to much anyway. He isn't supposed to play like a follower characters in the first place. Honestly, if you want good follower, at this point just play Wurt/Webber or, god forbid, Wendy.

Problem being that they're a final ability if being damage sponges is their purpose then they should taunt.

Just a small reminder that ripen saladmanders burn down bases whenever they fight something. Other than that i’m all in for buffs

Now this might be stepping on Willow's toes abit but what if they ate nearby uncontrolled fires once a minute including if Wormwood himself is on fire?

It's ridiculous to hear that a Wormwood player need to take hound wave seriously.

You should notice that actually I don't make a comparison like this. WHY is Wickerbottom? Because they are both expected to be skilled in logistics work, and need summon a follower at a high cost. Now the role of manufacuring living logs can be replaced by Woodie. That means his only obvious advantage remaining is taking care of a large field to feed some players who don't really need to be fed.

So Wickerbottom's bees and tentacles are just a huge bit of bonus right?
