Uncool wormwood tip

Recommended Posts

If you want to solo stun dragonfly as wormwood using his abilities you can try to achieve maximum damage by:
+use of bramble husk perk
+tanking
+using morning star during rain when she's fully wet
+using macro to perfectly animation cancel for maximum swing speed
+using saladmanders

Congratulations, you will still fail to stun her, don't try.

Saladmanders are "good" for only two bosses and by "good" they're "meh" and against other bosses it's miracle if they survive 30 seconds.

They are doo doo, two bosses are not redeeming qualities.
Just two health expensive slow goobers doing fraction of your damage for 15 seconds before dying.

Tip is that saladmanders are not worth it.

Please change my mind I really want to be wrong that they're just bad.

On other hand, mooncap and husk perks are very cool:encouragement:
Though I wish he could farm shrooms on surface in winter, it's just a chore to go to caves to harvest the planters since they won't rot in winter in there, loading screen is not cool and you might get killed before the loading screen goes off, the between shard protection is not working, would be cool if we could choose when our character hops out of sinkhole/cave entrance as we're done loading.

Also to not leave you like that here's something real but not exactly worm related maybe useful.

Iirc dragonfly doesn't get "fully wet" right away like other bosses do, her wetness does not depend on the world's wetness. It gradually increases just like player's wetness the longer she stays after the rain. And to even start her wetness meter going up you need to engage in combat with her. So you will have to fight her while it's still raining, otherwise she won't get wet at all.

Yeah saladmanders r garbo. I still think its funny that they got nerfed during the beta lol. At no point in the beta were they good and they still got nerfed.

i just see them as late game flavor gimmicks to throw out when uve reached a point where u have a lot of healing.

Wrt skillpoint spread, lightbugs r also bad but at least the lizards r kinda fun to occasionally throw out. Mostly because they give solo ww a reason to grow dragonfruit. I like that theoretical synergy more than the actual benefits lizards give if that makes sense

u can stun dfly though with 2 brightshade swords, bhusk, CC crown and the saladmanders.

I know that's why I worded that like this mentioning both rain and full wetness, you don't have to wait untill she gets fully wet by rain, you can start fighting her immediately as rain starts if you use watering can 4 times or 4 water baloons. Thanks to watercan trick you could help friends prevent dragonfly from enraging even if someone took panflute and mandrakes who knows where.

Salad manders are way better than everyone believes. They are great at tanking, and excel at distracting groups of enemies by tanking damage. Other than that, bonus damage.

This is a really cool tidbit of info, that Dfly is the only enemy in the game that can gain wetness from things like waterballoon and water can. You also don't need to make the garden thingamajig to use the water can. You can simply drop a twig on the ground, light it with a torch and douse it. Do that around 3 times and it should make Dfly wetness at max. That works for thermal cooling too.

Nice thing about wormwood however is that they can make the shadow manipulator a little early since they can make living logs right off the back, and can manipulate their sanity easily for nightmare fuel farming by chopping trees (lower sanity) and planting pinecones (increase sanity)

I like to think of the saladmanders as just a lil extra something to compliment wormwood, but not a defining characteristic of him. They don't have to be the strongest followers to be useful. The little extra dps and tanking can be pretty nice. They can body guard you while you are busy doing other things, and especially nice during hound waves.

massive skill issue, you can stun her somewhat consistently with 2 bone armor 1 enlightened crown and brightshade sword, as long as you spawn 3=< vines she should get stunned, no saladmanders required

bramble damage is outweighed by the extra damage from not getting staggered or having to kite with bone armor

I wish you could pick them up like webber. But only have 2 loyal at a time.
